Job Description
Cellar Person
Responsibilities:
- Abide by all company safety procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the cellars
- Practice good communication with team members and management
- Follow and assist in developing company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Perform Clean In Place (CIP) operations of fermenting vessels, bright tank vessels, transfer pipework, and other vessels
- Perform Clean Out of Place (COP) operations of all brewing equipment and cellar floors
- Assist Brewers with preparing vessels and transfer lines for yeast harvests
- Assist Brewers with grain milling operations
- Assist Brewers with Dry Hopping Tanks
- Assist Packaging Team with Packaging operations, including cleaning and filling kegs and/or working on the packaging lines
- All other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Ability to regularly lift up to 55 pounds
- Be comfortable ascending/descending stairs and ladders
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crawl, climb, and work in tight places
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to safely operate forklift and other industrial equipment
- Acceptance of varying and flexible schedules
- Be thorough, diligent, and clean with an excessive attention to detail
- Be punctual and reliable
- Must work well with team and independently
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
- Treat others with dignity and respect
- Be passionate about Mikkeller and the craft beer industry
