Finch's Beer Company in Chicago is looking for a cellar person to work with our excellent brewing and packaging staff. The position has great potential for growth within the company. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Racking beer, CIP, cleaning outside of tanks and maintenance
• Keeping organized log of all cleaning, pacification processes
• Implementing process SOP and completing task checklists
• Working with Head Brewer on ordering needs including PPE and chemical
• Ensuring pumps, valves, gaskets, hoses and clams are working properly and notifying Head Brewer immediately when something is in need of repair
• Maintaining a safe working environment for his/her self and entire brewery staff by using safe/best practices and using all appropriate safety equipment and signage
• Ensure all chemical is clearly marked once removed from its container
• Weekend duties including cleaning, brewhouse maintenance, packaging equipment maintenance, as well as:
o Kettle acid cycles
o PBW soaks for mash tun
o Cleaning of hoses, valves, floors, drains, etc.
o Machine lubrication
o Cleaning of inner filler bowl
o Mold removal on walls, floors
o General brewery organization
Requirements:
May be exposed to temperature extremes; may be required to work in tight confines; may be required to work with hazardous chemicals; must be able to life & move 55lbs; must be able to be on your feet for long periods of time; must be at least 21 years of age.
