Hauser Estate Winery/Jack's Hard Cider is a small rapidly growing family owned winery/cidery located in Biglerville Pennsylvania. We are currently looking to hire an experienced, self-motivated cellarperson/packaging line operator to aid in our rapid growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Can and keg finished cider including: set-up and clean-up, QC checks, and maintaining accurate packaging documentation
-Transfer packaged cider to the warehouse and maintain transfer logs
-Rotate inventory in warehouse and prepare orders for shipment
-Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work environment
-Assist in cellaring duties including: filtration, cider transfers, tank cleaning, QC checks, and general equipment maintenance
-Press apples and prepare juice for fermentation
Applicants should have the following skills and competencies:
-Experience in a brewery or winery and familiarization with sanitary processes
-Operation of forklifts and pallet jacks
-Mechanical aptitude is a plus
-Ability to work efficiently and prioritize tasks within a small team and independently
-Ability to regularly lift and 50+ lbs and move full kegs
-Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time
-Ability to work around alcohol in a responsible manner
-Positive attitude and desire to work hard and learn
-Strong communication and listening skills
Compensation and Benefits:
-Hourly rate is commensurate with experience
