We are seeking an experienced Brewery Cellar Operator who is passionate about craft beer and the use of sustainable business practices, and who welcomes the opportunity to work in all areas of the brewery to help ensure beer is produced and packaged to meet HUB's quality standards and production schedules. This job is full-time, day shift, Tuesday-Saturday with some flexibility and the pay rate starts at $19.00/hr. and up depending on experience.

The HUB Cellar Operator maintains the highest standard in all aspects of the brewery's Cellar including cellar work, recordkeeping, filtration, brewing and maintenance. The Cellar Operator performs all cellar duties within best practices and uphold the most current industry standards and company standard operating procedures. As needed, the Cellar Operator will also cross-train and work in other areas of the brewery to support brewing and packaging operations.

REQUIRED & PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 2 years of Cellar operations experience.
  • Brewing and fermentation and/or quality control experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of current industry practices.
  • Strong knowledge of safe work operations, policies and procedures.
  • Forklift certification preferred - will be provided if not currently certified.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50lbs regularly and 50+lbs occasionally.
  • Some college with math, science, chemistry courses or brewing specific course work preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with a quality, efficiency, and solution-focused approach to work.
  • Strong team-player qualities as well as ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
  • Dependable attendance and flexible availability including availability to work evenings and weekends if needed.
  • Proficient computer and email skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Motivated to make a difference in an entrepreneurial, sustainability-driven environment.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Constant variety of sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, reaching; high exposure to varied temperature changes; exposed to wet floors, cleaning and sanitizing agents, steam, hot items, sharp objects; some stress.
  • Regularly walk, climb, balance, kneel, and crouch for extended periods of time.
  • Must be comfortable with moderate heights.
