Key Responsibilities:
• CIP/SIP of all brewery vessels
• Wort and beer transfer
• Yeast harvest, pitching and health management
• Fermentation monitoring
• Manual cleaning of brewery equipment and parts
• Assist brewers with wort-creation and brew house operation
• Assist with packaging; including canning and bottling, keg filling & cleaning
• Operating the centrifuge
• Strict adherence to sanitary and record-keeping standards
• Basic facilities maintenance
• Basic brewery equipment maintenance
Competencies:
• Strong work ethic
• Team player
• Adaptable - ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
• Ability to communicate efficiently with team and customers
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Close attention to details
• Willingness to assist with tasks outside key responsibilities
Requirements:
• At least six months previous experience working in a brewery production environment with an understanding of the physical requirements of this type of position
• Demonstrated track record of success in prior positions
• Lift 55 lbs and move 165 lbs occasionally
• Stand for 8-10 hours per day
• Operate a forklift and complex machinery
• Work in a non-temperature controlled environment, handling of hazardous materials
Strongly Desired:
• A degree from a professional brewing education program or related field is preferred
This position is full-time, on-site at our Ocean Township, NJ brewery location.
