Jersey Girl Brewing is a 4-vessel, 30bbl brewery with 5 head Codi counter-pressure canning line and sample room/beer garden located in beautiful Mt. Olive, New Jersey. We are looking for a full-time cellar person/assistant brewer to join our team who has experience in the beer industry or a passion to learn and grow within our brewery environment.
Position Summary:
The Cellar Person is responsible for performing a variety of fundamental and support tasks befitting our production brewery, including all cellar, packaging, and general housekeeping operations, with assistance in brewery and maintenance duties as needed.

Position Summary:

Primary Duties of Cellar Person/Assistant Brewer:
- Monitor vital fermentation critical control points including but not limited to target gravity, pH, temperatures, and pressures.
- Performs CIPs and SIPs on fermenters, brite tanks, and brewhouse.
- Assist in all aspects of brewing as time permits.
- Responsible for finished beer handling including but not limited to carbonation, DO monitoring, and recording data
- Transfer beer to and from fermenters, barrels & brite tanks.
- Perform appropriate processing, including but not limited to dry hopping, addition of fruit or spices, crashing tanks, and yeast propagation.
- Assist with packaging, including canning and bottling, keg/barrel filling & cleaning.
- Ensure that sensory evaluation is monitored responsibly, and results are communicated in a constructive manner.
- Maintain a sanitary environment, which includes but not limited to cleaning floors, walls, and tanks.
- Participate in company events as needed while maintaining professional composure.
- Performs inventory counts to track raw and finished materials.
- Cleans kegs.
- Independently complete daily task list
- Work on a ladder periodically up to height of 20 feet.
- Physically be able to bend over, twist, kneel, climb stairs, lift 55+ pounds.
- Repeatedly handle hot and cold liquids.
- Able to stand for long periods of time (8-10 hours)
- Work closely with manager, supervisors, quality, and peer staff to execute tasks effectively.
- Communicate clearly through email, and text.
- Brewing or other related education preferred.
- Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States
- Pre-employment background check required.
- 21+ years of age
