    ERIS is a women-owned brewery and cider house located in Chicago’s Old Irving Park neighborhood. Our manufacturing facility and brewpub are housed in the same building, which was originally a Masonic temple.     About the Position

    Liquids Assistant – will be assisting in multiple areas of the Liquid department, from packaging, brewing, cider making, and CIP sanitation. Focusing on quality control, recipes, inventories, reporting maintenance/safety and training development.


    · CIP and Sanitation of Equipment including brewhouse, cellar, and filtration

    · Monitor fermentation of beer and cider using hydrometers, pH meters, microscopes, and other lab/ sensory work

    · Operate 15bbl brewhouse including a mill, grist case, mash/ lauter combo, and a kettle

    · Operate a crossflow filter. Monitor clarity and flow

    · Cleaning and Filling of kegs

    · Assist on canning days with setup sanitation, operate filler and infeed, and packing & stacking full cases, then shutdown cleaning

    · General Housekeeping – removing trash, cleaning work area, and putting tools/ parts back

    · Cleaning Draft lines

    · Operate a forklift, a Big Joe walk behind forklift, and pallet jacks

    · Work with SOP that were written and administer help with any edits on procedures.

    · Make cider!


    · Must be 21

    · Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs

    · Must be able to maneuver kegs of beer and cider

    · Ability to crawl, bend, twist, turn, and stoop

    · Forklift/pallet jack proficiency required

    · Ability to use a computer keyboard and calculator

    · Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time (up to 12 hours)

    · Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions

    · Must be able to work flexible shifts (including weekends, evenings, and holidays) and overtime as necessary

    · 1 year of brewing, cider making, wine making, packaging, or manufacturing experience preferred


    · On-site food, drink and swag stipend – lunches starting on Thursday and Friday, beer, cider and non-alcoholic beverages

    · Earn PSL 1 hour of sick leave for every 40 hours worked.

    · The pay cycle is once a week, paid on Tuesdays, started wage is $19 an hour
