Hello from Downeast Cider, the Boston MA based Hard-Cider company. We are currently in need of an experienced Cellar for the afternoon/evening shift.
This position is high-volume and high-pace, so we will only consider applicants with a year or more of professional experience.
Responsibilities:
Process Cleaning (Tanks, filters, kegs etc)Understand chemical proper usage of chemicals and safety
Proper usage of pumps, hoses, and various cider-making equipment
Maintenance of clean work environment
Ability to run multiple forms of filtrationPrimarily plate & frame, lenticular
Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks
Ability to sub-in on packaging line when needed
Ability to perform basic maintenance of cidery equipment
In-line and tank carbonation of product
Use fork-lift, manual and electric pallet jacks.
Work late-shift primarily once fully trained
Requirements
Excellent time-management skills
Excellent communication skillsWritten, verbal and documentation on company checklists
High-energy attitude
Ability to regularly work the late shift
Must be at least 21 years of age
Strong focus on quality and safety
Ability to stand for 8-10 hours a day
Ability to stoop, crouch, kneel and lift 100+ lbs
