Red Leg Brewing Company is seeking to fill full time position as a packaging operator/cellarman. Person will assure that beer is packaged in cans and kegs ready for distribution and sale.
Job Duties Include:
• Safe operation of labeling, canning and keg equipment
• Troubleshooting and making adjustments as needed for smooth operation
• Quality inspection of all packaged products
• General maintenance, cleaning and sanitation of packaging equipment
• Cleaning of kegs and preparation for filling
• Handling chemicals required for cleaning and sanitation
• Other duties as required throughout the brewery
Skills/Qualifications:
• Prior experience in a production environment
• Packaging/bottle/can line experience preferred
• Forklift certification and/or experience is a plus
• Strong mechanical background
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• A problem solver with attention to detail
• Work independently and within a team with minimal supervision
• Work well under pressure and at a fast pace
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for extended periods of time
• Must be able to frequently lift up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to maneuver 165 pound kegs
• Must be willing to work in wet and/or cold conditions
• Available to work long and/or flexible hours and on weekends
• Must be dependable and have reliable transportation
• Must have an appreciation for craft beer
• Knowledge of the brewing process (or home-brewing experience) is preferred
Wild Goose specific qualifications:
• Must be able to CIP startup/shutdown and dial in a WG 250 un assisted
• Must be able to make fill level adjustments using time and flow meter operations
• Ability to trouble shoot and adjust CO2 purge, fill heads, Seamer adjustments OP1 and OP2
• Must be able to complete a full tear down or digital seam inspection and react appropriately.
• Must be able to communicate problems to packaging Supervisor or Wild Goose via Phone/Skype and email.
