Job Overview
This position is located in Nampa, ID. Cellarmen will follow all Standard Operating Procedures at Mother Earth to produce consistent, high quality products as directed by the Head Brewer. Cellarmen are responsible for the cellaring of beer from the fermenter until it is packaged.
General Responsibilities
• Perform the following cellaring tasks according to Mother Earth’s Standard Operating Procedures: cleaning and sanitizing tanks, checking gravities, re-circulating beer, dry hopping, yeast harvesting, checking viabilities, non-filter beer transfers, milling grain, kegging, zahming, cleaning kegs
• Assist brewers with graining out
• Assist on bottling and canning lines as needed
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the cellars on a daily basis
• Follow all Mother Earth safety standards
• Alert Head Brewer immediately of any quality control issues
• Other duties as directed by Head Brewer or Management
Qualifications
• 1 year brewery experience
• Absolute passion for brewing and beer
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability to lift 55 pounds repetitively
• Forklift certified
• Flexible schedule
• Strong knowledge of the brewing process
