    Maui Brewing Co., Hawaii’s largest and fastest growing craft brewery, is hiring a Controller.

    Job Description:
    This position will work closely with ownership and management team to meet financial objectives by creating and managing procedure, policies, controls, and reporting systems. You should be passionate about craft brewing, inspiring others, and day-to-day management.

    Job Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
    • Implement and maintain business practices for cost controls including COGS, RFQs for purchases, managing vendors, etc.
    • Prepare and present quarterly financial reports, including internal and external statements.
    • Create and manage budgets, including schedule, collection, analysis, and reporting of data, including plan recommendations.
    • Evaluate, propose, implement and maintain software/systems for compliance, maintenance, asset purchases/tracking, and supplies.
    • Create and report feasibility tests for conceptual projects proposed by management, including collection, interpretation, and report of findings and recommendations.
    • Maintain current and average cost data for all inventory and sale items.
    • Aid in tax preparation.
    • Prepare State and Federal filings for operational reports and taxes.
    • AR/AP management, including invoice collections, payment processing, etc.
    • Administration of company credit cards, T&E Reporting, reimbursement, etc.
    • Assist in tasting room POS record management.
    • Develop and maintain system for charitable donations, promo beer, merchandise activity, and accounting for employee beer.
    • Administration of HR, including payroll, benefits, 401k and profit sharing.
    • Maintain current hiring protocols, while continually evaluating necessary changes.
    • Prepare & coordinate regular management to assess programs and initiatives.
    • Maintain organized records of all hard copy or electronic data.
    • Constant current understanding of all state and federal laws regarding record keeping, employee rights, payroll, benefits, wages, unemployment, disability, etc.
    • Attends professional workshops, reviews publication, establishes network and participates in community events that further career knowledge.

    Job Requirements:
    • Minimum of 2 years experience in accounting and financial management, with preference as a Controller.
    • College graduate required. Bachelors Degree in Accounting preferred or equivalent business experience.
    • Strong project and time management, attention to detail, and problem solving skills.
    • Highly competent with computer functions, including word processing and spreadsheet software.
    • Accounting, DSD, and planning software competence.
    • Prior beverage industry, particularly craft beer, experience preferred.
    • Strong Internal Control background.
    • Great verbal and written communication.
