    Company Overview

    Red Lodge Ales Brewing Company, established in 1998, is located in the Beartooth Mountains of south-central Montana. We sell over 8000 bbls of craft beer annually. We established Last Chance Cider in late 2016 and are currently on pace to distribute over 60,000 gallons of cider in 2021. Aside from our Tap Room in Red Lodge and our Pub at the cider mill in Billings, we distribute throughout Montana, northern Wyoming, and western North Dakota.

    Position Overview

    We are looking for a candidate with a passion for craft beer and cider and outstanding sales and management skills.
    The Sales Manager will report directly to the president and is expected to devise and execute a company sales strategy designed to continue brand growth. The Sales Manager will be responsible for managing our local self-distribution routes and working with distributors and retailers to execute the company sales plan.

    Essential Job Functions
    • Planning and implementing comprehensive strategic sales initiatives
    • Aligning distributor sales team objectives with the brewery's brand identity and sales plans
    • Assisting with sales, delivery, and line cleaning on our self-distributed routes during busy summer months
    • Identifying potential new accounts, establishing contact, and providing support for product and events as per the sales initiative
    • Building and maintaining relationships with key accounts
    • Working with production and warehouse to ensure timely delivery of beer to wholesalers and retailers.
    • Working with staff artist/marketing to create point of sale materials and bolster online brand awareness.
    • Organizing and managing off-site account visits and events
    • Completing and submitting weekly and monthly market visit recaps and reports, quarterly goals and other necessary reports
    • Establishing and running regular sales meetings
    • Observing all state and federal laws pertaining to the sale, merchandising and promotion of beer
    Management Responsibilities
    • Managing a dedicated sales team, setting performance goals according to company sales objectives. Assisting sales and delivery effort locally during busy summer months
    • Develop Annual Business Plans for each distributor with volume, distribution, and budget goals
    • Collecting and reporting competitive market data to ownership
    • Participating in production forecasting, acting as a bridge between market needs and production scheduling
    • Providing detailed weekly sales reports and account status, as well as strategy updates and changes
    • 5+ years of beer sales experience
    • 2+ years of sales management experience
    • Must be able to lift 30 pounds and maneuver a 160-pound keg
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Public speaking skills
    • Highly organized
    • Willingness to travel to meet with Distributors and retailers
    • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record desired
    • Must be 21 or older
    Essential Skills
    • Experience working with digital sales tools
    • Computer skills including Word, Quickbooks, Excel and PowerPoint
