    Director of Brewery Operations
    The Director of Brewery Operations for Willard’s Brewery and Big Country Seltzer will plan, direct, and coordinate the development and manufacture of all beverage products made under Big Country Foods and its subsidiaries. This position will develop business, operational, and financial strategies for the company, monitor goals, and adjust planning in order to meet them. The DBO works closely with the CEO and Big Country Foods Director of Operations to ascertain goals, and advises the staffing and other organizational resources.

    Required Experience:
    • 10+ years’ experience in management/team leadership roles
    • 1+ years’ experience in beverage production/manufacturing
    • Previous experience in senior organizational management/business development role

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Accountable for safety of all employees and safe operations of all tasks performed on-site at Willard’s Brewery
    • Develop effective weekly and long-term production plans, effectively supporting the business and sales objectives as presented by Senior Management and Ownership teams
    • Accountability for oversight of daily execution of production plan to include, but not limited to, coordination of brewing/cellaring/packaging activities, all customer shipments on time and in full, effectively executed supply chain logistics & fulfillment, reliability of equipment operations and maintenance management
    • Both support and drive accountability for Head Brewer formulation, and constant improvement of, production recipes and procedures
    • Accountable for ensuring all products meet internal quality standards
    • Develop strategic departmental budgeting required for effective operations of facility, obtain buy-in from ownership, and track performance against plan, with clear communication to entire Management and Ownership teams
    • Accountable for creation of a realistic budget for all beverage production and track performance against that budget, with regular communication regarding said performance to ownership and senior management
    • Works with other colleagues to forecast brewery production and operation costs
    • Develop and track progress toward goals and KPI’s
    • Constantly exploring avenues to reduce costs, increase revenues, and improve overall company performance
    • Maintains in-depth knowledge of the beverage industry and liaises with specialized colleagues for expert advice on financial, legal, and regulatory issues
    • Effectively communicates any problems/obstacles to Senior Management and Ownership teams
    • Oversees both the FOH & BOH staff ensuring brewery taproom operations are running smoothly
    • Support development of RFQ/RFPs for equipment, bidding, evaluation, and then execution of vendor partnership and PO generation.
