Title: Tasting Room Manager
Reports to: Founders
MainStage Brewing Company is looking for a Tasting Room Manager! MainStage is a new brewery launching in Lyons, CO this spring. Founded in 2020, MainStage Brewing Company is situated in a historical 19th century building located on Main Street in Lyons. Bringing new life to the west end of Main Street with an expansive outdoor patio, MainStage focuses on the best that Colorado has to offer, a great beer in hand, 300+ days of sunshine, and live music! MainStage’s mission is to build community by providing fantastic beer, great music, and a place for people to come together.

What we are looking for:
We are looking for a creative and passionate leader to help build and train a new staff, work with founders to establish best (and new) practices, and put their stamp on a new company. We are all about unconventional backgrounds, different experiences than ours, and creative thinking. Customer service and team leadership skills are critical for this position, and we feel those skills can come from many backgrounds or experiences. Success in this position will require flexibility as we all learn on the fly during our opening months, as well as quick thinking, creativity, excellent communication and leadership skills necessary to help build the business and team from the ground up. The ideal candidate has experience in customer facing roles, experience working within flexible teams, and an entrepreneurial mindset. Specific experiences with craft beer, events management, or venue or restaurant openings are a plus, but not required.

Duties:
Brewery Opening - As a new brewery, we have some special tasks to get open! Founders will actively collaborate on all aspects of opening.

• Propose and develop service procedures and processes to create a world-class customer experience
• Design taproom staffing structure
• Install and onboard POS system for brewery
• Collaborate with kitchen (separate business) to establish best service model

Essential Duties

• Promote a positive and welcoming experience for all customers
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for all customers
• Lead daily tasting room activities to achieve revenue goals
• Assist with interviewing, hiring and training all taproom employees
• Creating and implementing key performance metrics and incentive programs for taproom employees
• Leading taproom staff through active coaching and continuous improvement strategies
• Develop and manage shift schedule for all hourly taproom employees on a bi-weekly basis
• Tracking and reporting all tasting room inventory including beer, merchandise, glassware, and key consumables
• Support an inclusive and equitable workplace for all employees and guests
• Ensure that beer service and quality meets the standards of MainStage Brewing Company
• Assist with quality and sensory analysis of all products
• Takes and active role serving and engaging customers alongside team members

Work conditions/requirements

• Ability to lift 35-50 lbs
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in sometimes inclement weather
• Working with draft line cleaning chemicals
• Available to work full-time (40+ hours/week), including nights and weekends
