Taproom Manager
Responsibilities:
- Taproom Operations
- Ensure beers are always at their absolute best
- Bartend at least 3 shifts a week and pick up shifts if necessary
- Ensure bartenders have everything they need to successfully complete their tasks
- Ensure the taprooms are clean, comfortable, and adequately maintained
- Ensure guests have a positive experience during their visit
- Notice and respond appropriately to other areas of the taprooms that need attention
- Coordinate with Taproom Manager to manage draft line availability to account for new beer releases
- Work with General Manager to control appropriate levels of backstock
- Perform any other tasks necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the taproom
- Team Management
- Serve as team leader to staff of bartenders and act as a resource for any challenges or issues
- Host regular meetings with the taproom team to celebrate successes and address issues
- Educate bartenders on new beers and beer concepts in general, giving them the knowledge to have meaningful interactions with customers
- Keep the team updated and aware of the state of public perception of the taprooms and bartenders
- Coordinate with Taproom Manager on scheduling, interviewing, & hiring bartenders as needed; enact disciplinary action if necessary
- Implement systems to help the team work together to improve both customer experience and sales
- Supply Management
- Source all supplies and maintain necessary levels of inventory
- Keep the safe stocked with the necessary change for the register and for tip outs
- Improve Operations & Processes
- Anticipate and address issues quickly
- Recognize opportunities to increase taproom sales
- Improve work-flow and employee happiness
- Equipment and Taproom Maintenance
- Maintain all taproom equipment and resolve issues as needed
- Schedule and manage visits from outside maintenance contractors as necessary
- Administrative
- Notify staff of upcoming events and meetings
- Audit the safe
Requirements:
- Ability to lift 55 lbs and move 165 lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to work over, under, and around potentially dangerous machinery in tight or confined spaces
