    Four Roses Distillery is seeking applicants for the position of Senior Manager, Warehouse. The Senior Manager, Warehouse is responsible for the efficient operation of warehouse maturing operations which includes staffing, procedure and quality adherence, inventory, shipping and receiving.     Responsibilities


    Mission and Strategic Growth
    • Develop initiatives to achieve performance, quality, and safety standards and ensure achievement of manufacturing goals.
    • Works with Director, Warehouse to set KPI’s for warehouse management and implement methods to track, trend and monitor KPI’s against targets
    • Work with Director for planning and forecast barrel storage, used barrel sales as well as bulk inventories and bulk shipments.
    • Maximize production capabilities to attain optimum operating cost and overall production and budget goals.
    • Manage and implement change to ensure continuous improvement.
    • Assists in building, expanding and improving warehouse capacity by evaluating each existing warehouse facility, recommending necessary preventative maintenance or upgrades, strategically planning with Director for future warehouse sites and timing of financial impact.
    • Study and understand the overall operational and financial aspects of the business as well as Warehouse Department’s impact on other departments targets, goals and workflow.
    • Ensures financial responsibility within budgetary parameters. Responsible for maintaining budgets and forecasts.
    • Presents warehouse strategies/plans to senior and executive level management during managers committee meeting (MCM).


    Warehouse Operations
    • Completes government paperwork pertaining to warehouse (ex. New Distillate BOLs and Bulk Shipment BOLs and associated forms).
    • Schedules work operations and regulates manpower to meet production entry, barrel dumping, bulk shipping, sampling requirements and yards & grounds.
    • Manage bulk storage in tanks and maintain accurate records
    • Coordinates and leads special projects
    • Monitors and completes “single barrel” "survey" plus "blending stock" sample and all other sample orders - as requested by Four Roses Quality Assurance
    • Work with Director for planning used barrel business and their shipments
    • Oversee Char collections and shipments
    • Monitor’s performance and productivity for the purpose of minimizing expenses in the facility.
    Warehouse Documents
    • Will review and analyze all administrative paperwork related to the TTB requirements and current standard operating procedures; recommends best practices and improvements for routine administrative items. Expected to evaluate for additional resources within the department and potential changes.
    • Maintain precise inventory tracking for Slurry Tanks, accurately capturing all product movement including losses or gains.
    • Identify, Create and Maintain Standard Operating Procedures as required.
    • Understand required information to be printed on barrel head at time of filling: producing company plus barreling location and their respective DSP numbers, government and company ID's, barrel capacity, and product type identification.
    • Verify barrel locations & barrel filled quantities listed on daily racking reports provided by crew leaders to establish accuracy and consistency.
    • Maintain Used Barrel inventory tracking
    • Keep current on all DOT regulations for transportation–including bill-of-lading information, flammable placarding of transportation vehicles
    • Inventory Management System
    • Create annual PO for new barrel purchases based on distillate production forecast.
    • Order new barrels for entry per distillation schedule provided by the Distillery Manager.
    • Prepare monthly tank inventory reports.
    • Schedule new barrel shipments to coincide with Distillery production and shipment timing
    • Perform barrel inventories as needed, as well as a minimum 50%-barrel inventory during the distillery shutdown.
    • Complete transactions in AX and LMS (IMS) to withdraw, dump, transfer barrels and/or bulk product.
    • Enter new barrel storage into AX and LMS (IMS) and close out work orders
    • Create and verify reports in AX (IMS) for month end closing


    Maintenance
    • Collaborates with maintenance manager daily to plan preventative maintenances and upgrades as necessary. Evaluates priority warehouse needs and if internal maintenance team can perform work or if work is more extensive, etc. considers contract work procedures.
    • Develop annual and mid term business plan forecasts to address warehouse storage, maintenance needs and proactive safety measures.
    • Responsible for cleanliness of warehouse tour route within the bulk building dump floor


    Financial & Budget
    • Develop, monitor, and manage departmental budgets and spending with an emphasis on Safety, Quality and Value to the consumer and Profitability and Efficiency to the department
    • Manage Expendable and conversion material accounts


    Quality
    • Daily, timely delivery of distillate and aged product samples to quality lab.
    • Set up and monitor yearly calibration check on metering equipment used for loading out bulk shipments.
    • Understands quality standards, looks for continuous quality improvements
    Human Resources and Training
    • Manage manpower as required to safely and efficiently execute operating schedule for the Warehouse Department.
    • Drives team collaboration and employee accountability. Drives daily performance accountability across all areas while reinforcing a team-oriented work atmosphere.
    • Monitor and evaluate employee performance, apply disciplinary procedures as necessary
    • Maintains extensive understanding of collective bargaining agreement and handbook, manages fairly and consistently through policies.
    • Assist in overall coordination of warehouse team training and oversee cross training of the warehouse team
    • Approves and submits payroll each Monday by 10am. Completes payroll paperwork necessary for weekly pay approval.


    Plant Safety
    • Foster and Deliver a “Safety First, Culture” approach in all areas of Warehousing
    • Monitor and inspect warehouse areas for safety compliance, report any issues to the Safety and Health Manager and the Maintenance Manager.
    • Maintain warehouse safety programs (confined space, lock-out/tag out, emergency notification, MSDS, monthly self-inspection, assists with safety committee meetings and assists in updates of job hazard analyses.


    Risk Management and Compliance
    • Manage completion of Government required paperwork (236)
    • Assists with warehouse safety programs, OSHA confined space, LOTO,emergency response, SDS, etc.)
    • Assists with warehouse safety compliance, safety meetings
    • Maintain knowledge of DOT regulations for transport and handling of hazardous materials – includes BOL
    • Maintain knowledge of EPA rules and regulations
    • Supports compliance with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules, and government regulations.
    Minor Responsibilities

    Sales Promotion & Cross-Functional Initiatives
    • Participate in various marketing events as needed.
    • Periodically give tours of the bottling facility to VIP’s.
    • Fill in for Maintenance Manager in his/her absence.
    • Greet, assist, and direct all visitors in a courteous manner, encouraging customer relations.

    Required Education and Experience
    • Must be 21 years old
    • Bachelors’ degree in business management or related field
    • At least five years of proven and progressive strategic management experience with at least two years operating in barrel warehousing.
    • Experience managing within a union environment
    • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations with accuracy and detail.
    • Experience with budgets, forecasting, project management and proven ability to maintain a cost efficient and effective operation
    • Proficient ability to utilize Microsoft Dynamics AX, Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook; must have ability to adapt to barrel management software.
    • Must display knowledge of rules, regulations and laws, various agencies and record retention for EPA, OSHA, and DOT. Must have working knowledge of DOT regulations for transportation and handling of Hazardous Materials including bill of lading information placarding of trucks
    • Must have knowledge of TTB regulations and record retention for: In-bond receipts; barreling operations; production entry; in-bond barrel withdrawal: shipment - domestic and export; bulk shipment – domestic and export, barrel consolidation – export shipment; Removal of casualty barrels form inventory; EOM inventory and tank records.
    Preferred Education and Experience
    • Experience in spirits industry
    • Experience with quality systems.
