The Company:
Whalebird Kombucha is a small but fast growing brand and the only Kombucha brewery located on the Central Coast. Launched as a brand in 2015, Whalebird produces Classic (non alcoholic) Kombucha, Hard Kombucha, and Hard Tea Seltzer and sells in the natural products channel at grocery stores, cafe’s, restaurants, bars, and office buildings throughout California and beyond.
The Role:
Whalebird Kombucha is looking to hire a talented leader with experience in manufacturing to lead brewery operations on location in San Luis Obispo. Duties include the direct management of a team of 10-12 (including sub managers) in brewing, warehousing, and distribution with frequent cross functional work with sales and marketing. Whalebird is a small company, so many hats will be worn and the ideal candidate is looking to jump into a fast paced environment with lots of opportunities to lead, adapt, and improve processes.
Essential Skills and Experience:
-3+ years in management or supervisory position
-Deep understanding of supply chain management
-Experience with ERP systems
-Experience in food manufacturing and/or brewing directly
-Excellent leadership skills, emotional intelligence, ability to motivate and maintain positive morale in the workplace.
-Understanding of industrial machines / ability to work with one's hands when needed
Compensation:
$75k/year + equity
