Dust Bowl's Quality Assurance Manager position is responsible for all quality assurance in adherence to both Dust Bowl Brewing and regulatory standards. The position supervises the QA team. The QA Manager will also function as the Safety Coordinator for the production side of the company.

- Design, implement and improve company quality standards.
- Develops and maintains all aspects of the laboratory.
- Continuously improves the Quality Management System through data collection and interpretation.
- As part of a group, will continuously improve and maintain the Food Safety Program.
- Monitors, maintains, and continuously develops Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Responsible for keeping safety, quality, and other related items stocked for the brewery.
- Will maintain and improve all aspects of the yeast program.
- Directs, trains, supervises, and delegates responsibilities to lab technicians.
- Provides troubleshooting and technical support to Production Operations relating to product quality.
- Trains staff on laboratory tasks when required.
- Monitors production for TTB compliance.
- Responsible for maintaining the Hazard Communication Program, Chemical Inventory, and Business Plan with Stanislaus County Environmental Division (CERS).
- The Quality Assurance Manager will function as the Safety Administrator for the brewery side of the company and work with HR regarding auditing the Injury and Illness Prevention Plan and reporting/handling production injuries.
- Develop and implement the Sensory Analysis Program.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field such as Chemistry, Biology, Food Processing, Engineering, or an accredited brewing school.
- Minimum of 2 years of brewery quality management or equivalent food and beverage quality management experience
- Must be a Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) or have equivalent training
