    Job Description

    We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a great work ethic and positive attitude. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail and quality, to ensure the integrity and consistency of all products. They will effectively communicate with leadership, fellow managers, other members of the Brewing, Filtration and Quality teams as well as vendors and customers. This position will play a key role in driving the company’s high-volume needs.

    Responsibilities
    • Provide supervision to production team over multiple shifts and disciplines to ensure production continuity
    • Train employees on standard operating procedures and occupational hazards of packaging equipment and processes in a consistent and constructive manner.
    • Perform filtration efficiency monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization
    • Provide direction and decision-making when complex problem-solving situations arise
    • Monitor production and packaging schedules and coordinate with brewery management to establish priorities and timing for the production team
    • Create and update process SOPs, ensuring all operators are working in similar fashion, and incoming employees have written guidelines to improve consistency
    • Assist operators during runs and provide troubleshooting guidance
    • Communicate shift activity to personnel to keep them informed of changes to equipment, processes, materials, and supplies.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as cost savings, increase efficiencies and yields, improve safety, improve quality, and increase employee morale/productivity.
    • Communicate shortages or processing issues to management and participate in RCAs
    • Track and communicate inventory levels to ensure accurate recording and maintenance of raw materials inventory levels, including updating raw materials usage and performing monthly physical counts
    • Escalate out of specification data in a timely fashion to initiate corrective actions in collaboration with brewery management staff.
    • Ensure cleanliness of the cellar/production area, tanks, and equipment
    • Work closely with the QA/QC team to maintain quality and consistency
    • Control and organize timecards and PTO for production employees.
    • Conduct performance reviews and communicate to management.
    • Maintain safety practices in accordance with safety operations and are complainant with company policies.
    • Assist all departments of Constellation Brands Craft and Specialty Division, as needed, and other duties as assigned.
    Minimum Qualifications
    • At least 4-6+ years’ experience in a brewery or manufacturing industry, with at least 3+ years in a supervisory role
    • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as with others
    • Excellent critical thinking skills and attention to detail
    • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Power Point.
    • Strong organizational habits, a self-motivated work ethic, and good critical thinking/problem solving skills
    • Strong understanding of all aspects of brewing including cellaring, yeast handling, CIP, and sanitization
    • Ability to work any shift in a 24/7 production environment, including weekends and Holidays
    • Forklift experience

    Preferred Qualifications
    • 6+ years supervising a cellar or brew team
    • B.S. degree in Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Food/Brewing Science, Engineering, or a related field.
    • An understanding of quality assurance (QA) methods and techniques, laboratory operations, and basic knowledge of chemistry and biology
    • Mechanical experience and aptitude

    Physical Demands
    • Must be able to work standing for up to 8 hours a day.
    • Ability to 50+ lbs.
    • Able to multitask in a fast pace production or warehouse environment
    • Flexible schedule to work day, night, grave, holiday and weekend shifts
