Level Crossing Brewing Company is a production brewery with a 150-seat taproom and full commercial kitchen located in South Salt Lake, UT. About the Position
This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate that has a passion for award-winning craft beer, providing outstanding customer service, and likes having fun at work. We’re looking for someone that can help us build systems and processes and provide leadership in our taproom. The right candidate will be assertive, efficient, quality-focused, possess a great work ethic, and be a team player. As a leader, this position will be expected to contribute to our continued growth, constantly displaying a high level of maturity, accountability, and direction. This dynamic position will be responsible for implementing and enforcing company policies, staff training, and continual improvement on all aspects of the customer facing taproom.

The ideal candidate will channel the passion we put into our beer into a memorable taproom experience for our guests. The candidate must be customer-focused, experienced in a restaurant/bar/taproom environment and have exceptional interpersonal, management, and organizational skills. We’re interested in talking to candidates who are excited about the opportunity to be involved in the ground level of a new and growing business, wearing many hats. These hats include, but are not limited to: managing all taproom daily operations, recruiting, training, and planning/leading special Taproom events.


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
-Ambassador for Level Crossing Brewing Company.
-Direct & oversee all taproom & kitchen daily activities.
-Develop and maintain a knowledge of Level Crossing Brewing Company culture, products, and the taproom layout and be able to effectively communicate that information to our customers.
-Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local regulations.
-Recruiting, training, and scheduling taproom and kitchen staff.
-Oversee and manage on-site special events, including private events and tours, concerts/music, and other promotional events to include calendar, promotion, setup, staffing, and execution.
-Ensure all entertainment and on-site events are properly executed.
-Attract thirsty people by developing and implementing in-house events, advertising, public and community relations programs.
-Ensure sanitation and cleanliness standards are met.
-Maintain an employee-friendly and positive work environment, ensuring all workplace rules are understood and followed.
-Maintain safe, secure facility environment.
-Willingness to assist and support other managers in their focus areas.
-Update and maintain POS terminals and hand-held devices as needed.
-Daily receipts, deposits, tip-share and cash management.
-Maintain highest levels of customer satisfaction.
-Ensure that all guests are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times.
-Order merchandise and maintain inventory levels that are appropriate and accurate.
-Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards are met.
-Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
-Implement policies and standard operating procedures for taproom operations.


Minimum Qualifications:
-Must be 21 years or older
-High school diploma.
-1 to 3 years Front-of-House restaurant management experience.
-Knowledge of P&L, budgeting, labor costs, and forecasting.
-Strong verbal and written communication skills
-Strong multitasking skills
-Strong customer service and management skills
-Strong knowledge of beer and brewing process
-Team player with strong leadership skills
-Knowledge of POS systems.
-Must be accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
-Able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week; work flexible hours including working nights, weekends, and holidays to manage and train effectively
-Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time and be able to lift up to 50 pounds
-Certifications that comply for food and beverage regulations


Preferred Qualifications:
-Two-year college degree.
-3+ years front-of-house restaurant management experience.
-Cicerone Beer Server Level 1 certification.
-Event Management experience
