  • Taproom Manager // Starbase Brewing // Austin, Texas

    Title: Taproom Manager
    Location: Austin, Texas
    Category: Part-time
    Expected start date: May 28th

    About us:

Starbase Brewing is a new brewery launching in South Austin in late May. As you may guess from the name, we are creating rocketry-themed beers inspired by Starbase, Texas. We plan to open in a few weeks with a variety of beers on tap, including traditional ales, lagers, hazies, sours, stouts, and more. Our hole-in-the-wall indoor/outdoor taproom is currently fairly small, but we hope to grow into a larger facility in the near future.

One of our biggest goals is to use craft beer to educate and excite the public about space exploration and Mars Colonization. (1% of all of our profits will be donated to science education!) We are the “Official Brewery of Mars” and our guiding vision is to be the first brewery on another planet. We have some really cool partnerships and potential customers in the works, and we are very excited about building this brand in the great beer city of Austin. If this sounds exciting to you, please reach out.

    About the job:

The Taproom Manager will lead our small staff of bartenders and oversee all operations in our brewery’s on-site tasting room. This taproom gives our customers a way to try our beers and hang out with others in a cool space-themed environment. This position will start off part-time on only Saturdays and Sundays, as we will only be open on weekends at first. We hope to open on Friday evenings soon after, and our goal will be to transition this to a full-time role fairly quickly. Compensation is competitive, and this has the potential to be a high-growth position for the right person.
