True Respite Brewing Company is a production microbrewery and tap room in the heart of the Washington D.C. Metro Area. In fact, we sit right between the Rockville and Shady Grove stops on the D.C. Metro Red Line. We opened 3.5 years ago as a tiny draft-only operation brewing on a 3.5 BBL brewhouse and have expanded to become a 2,200 BBL/year packaging and distributing brewery brewing on a 3V, 15 BBL production brewhouse. We also proudly own and operate our own Alpha 4-head canning line.
We brew, package, and distribute five core SKUs. However, we’ve made our name brewing, packaging, and distributing a wide assortment of specialty one-off batches. Our constant innovation and our appetite to brew both trendy and classic styles (including a killer lager series) is a tough model to replicate with consistently high quality. It is one of our greatest competitive advantages.
We distribute throughout Maryland and D.C. with regular shipments for a national consumer audience via Tavour and occasional direct retailer shipments to Arizona (with more states opening soon.) We have experienced near-constant volume growth since opening and are self-distributing to nearly the entirety of our distribution footprint. We are also considering beginning distribution in Virginia in short order.
Our ownership team also includes all three Co-Founders of biermi.com, a craft beer sales and home delivery website adopted by over 200 breweries and craft beverage producers across 36 states around the country. It was developed and given for free to our peers in craft beverage manufacturing at the onset of the pandemic with the singular goal of saving as many fellow craft makers as we could in a time of crisis. We always try our best to be great neighbors and we are seeking an individual with a similar community-minded philosophy.
Our equipment:
- 3V 15BBL American Beer Equipment Production Brewhouse (Steam)
- 2V 3.5BBL Blichmann ProSeries Pilot Brewhouse (Electric)
- 258 BBL of Fermentation Capacity
- 79 BBL of Brite Space
- Alpha Beer Cannon Strike Package Canning Line (~40 CPM)
- Ska Half Pint Depalletizer
- Semi-Auto Keg Washer
Benefits:
- Full Time (Salaried, Exempt) based on experience
- Contribution to health insurance premium
- Potential for ownership equity
- Generous PTO and family leave policies
- Paid Membership in Guilds / Professional Groups
- Product / Merch Discounts
