    Looking for a manager to run our busy Taproom in Salt Lake

    We are a busy and fast growing brewery/taproom in the Granary district of Salt Lake. Minutes from the mountains and a couple hours from the desert. We make great beer, in a beautiful space-yep, high point too!. If you like craft beer, like to play in the mountains and want to work with some of the best people around (and have some serious management experience), we would love to hear from you.

    The Taproom General Manager’s responsibilities are to provide smooth service in the tasting room, create a welcoming environment for customers and address their concerns. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in a leadership or management position at a brewery, winery, or restaurant. Existing beer/brewing knowledge is a huge plus, but the emphasis is on elevating customer experience and leadership.
    Taproom General Manager will work the floor, but is expected to work a majority of the time in management responsibilities with the focus being on leading a team, community outreach and help managing our taproom events and the overall experience.

    Customer Experience
    • Maintain a welcoming, educational and inviting experience in the taproom.
    • Manage guest satisfaction and the overall brewery visitor experience.
    • Manage taproom inventory ordering and expenses.
    • Help facilitate the coordination for events hosted in the taproom. barrel room and outside events and festivals.

    Management Responsibilities:
    • Ensure team is meeting customer service standards.
    • Foster continued growth of the team by leading through example.
    • Complies with all state and local requirements for alcohol.
    • Outstanding service standards with attention to detail and ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced atmosphere with calmness and control.
    • Schedule and manage employees and payroll.
    • Schedule qtrly trainings and help facilitate team outings.
    • Lead hiring of new employees.
    • Manage taproom inventory and prices.
    • Manage, create and update menus, signage, etc.

    Leadership Responsibilities:
    • Help coordinate beer releases and events with events manager and production team. Manage trainings of all new beers and education.
    • Communicate weekly with Management Team to review and present taproom financials, upcoming events, and general operational issues.
    • Schedule monthly meetings with Management Team to discuss strategies for improvement, daily operations, and logistical development as Templin Family Brewing continues to grow.

    Physical Requirements:
    • Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays.
    • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
    • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
