Allagash Brewing Company seeks an experienced (3+ years progressively responsible involvement in safety program in manufacturer setting) Safety and Health Manager to join our brewery team. This position requires extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental safety standards. The Safety and Health Manager will work collaboratively across departments to build on our strong commitment to safety and continue to evolve our programs. This role will serve the brewery, warehouse, tasting room, and administrative staff, each of whom has very different working environments. The ability to work with all different types of people, and a growth mindset in terms of what can be accomplished in a workplace safety program are required. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential to be successful in this role, as well as a positive and collaborative attitude in communication with coworkers. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines are fundamental for this position. Commitment to privacy and confidentiality is also essential as we take employee health extremely seriously. The ability to problem solve novel challenges with challenges presented by COVID-19 and embrace new circumstances with calm will be important.
This is an exempt level, full-time position (with the possibility for modified full-time) and the schedule is within regular business hours Monday-Friday. Most work will be performed onsite with some administrative work able to be done remotely.
