Brand new concept in planning stages now. Looking for a General Manager/Partner to help implement the vision and be a part of this exciting business from the ground up.

This is a European-inspired, lager-focused brewery and taproom in Brooklyn, with the intention of producing beer and service that can compete with the best in the world. Owner has 20 years experience in the hospitality industry, primarily as a chef; he has worked in some of the world’s top restaurants, and intends to apply an uncompromising, 4-star mentality to all aspects of the business, from raw ingredients to brewing process to taproom experience. Vision is set and the financing lined up to make this happen; Owner is looking for a craft beer insider with the business knowledge to help execute it.


The Owner will focus on the production side and the GM will oversee all other areas of the business, with an emphasis on sales & marketing, finance & accounting, and tasting room operations.


Job Requirements:

Key experience requirements include, but are not limited to:
  • A minimum of five years general business management experience in the regional or craft brewing industry coupled with strong beer knowledge.
  • Ability to serve as general manager or operations manager with knowledge of all aspects of back office operations.
  • A background in sales management.
  • Strong financial acumen including budget management, expense control, forecasting and analysis of financial statements.
  • Experience working on an opening team and ability to quickly manage change and a rapidly expanding business.
  • Proven ability to manage, mentor, and retain employees.
Key responsibilities will include:
  • Establish goals for and provide strategic planning guidance to operations as well as sales/marketing (on-site and off-site).
  • Oversight of business operations and finance including distribution activities (direct reporting relationship).
  • Overall strategic direction and financial performance of the brewery.
  • Setup and management of all back-office operations (HR, payroll, administrative, accounting,self-distribution, and compliance)
  • Oversight of taproom operations in collaboration with taproom manager(s). Hiring and firing responsibilities within back office and taproom.
  • Advise and collaborate with owner on decisions regarding beer portfolio, corporate culture, sales and marketing, packaging, facility, distribution, and service models.
