Garden Path Fermentation is coming to Bellingham! As we prepare to open our second location,The Great Northern Bottle Shop & Lounge, we’re looking for one or more additional hard-working, creative, organized, and inspired individuals to join our team.

Garden Path Fermentation produces beer, wine, cider, mead, and other fermented beverages using hyperlocal ingredients and 100% native yeast. At our production facility in Skagit Valley, located 4 miles west of I-5 at the Port of Skagit, we also operate an onsite tasting room and bottle shop where we feature both our own products and those of other like-minded independent producers. The Great Northern will be an extension of this concept, featuring a wide array of independently produced, small-batch, ingredient- and fermentation-driven beer, wine, cider, mead, other beverages, and specialty foods from around the world, which will be available for both on- and off-site enjoyment.

Qualified applicants should be willing to work in both locations, have a strong passion for the type of products that we make and sell, feel a deep, personal connection to our mission, contribute positively toward a compassionate, collaborative, and communicative team dynamic, and have extensive experience and expertise in more than one of the areas listed below:

• Marketing / Social Media / Communication
• Business Operations / Bookkeeping / Finance
• Website / Online Store’
• Distribution

• Building & Fixing Things
• Assisting as needed with:
  • Packaging / Cellar Operations
  • Orchard / Vineyard Maintenance
  • Production

We know this is a fairly broad list, but these are all responsibilities that are currently shared among various team members and may be reallocated based on the specific experience and skills that the right candidate or candidates would offer.. We are a very small company, where we all work together to achieve our collective mission to capture the unique flavor and terroir of what’s around us and of each passing season while also striving to maintain a sense of subtlety, balance, and nuance. We all help out in a variety of different areas, placing a high value on community, cooperation, and inclusiveness, and genuinely enjoy spending time together both in and outside of work. We’re looking for someone who’s excited about working in a close-knit team setting and carving out their own unique role based on their passions and talents in a small but multifaceted business. Title, specific job responsibilities, and compensation will all be determined based on qualifications and interests.
