    : Retail Operations Manager

    Type: Full Time (minimum of 40 hours/week).
    Location: St. Thomas Tasting Room and Satellite Airport store

    This management position is a customer facing position that requires excellent beer and bar knowledge, superior customer service skills, good communication and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure. This position is responsible for making sure that the bar, kitchen and overall tasting room and airport satellite operations are running smoothly at all times.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Ensuring that all customers receive excellent customer service.
    • Handling customer complaints.
    • Hiring and training new employees.
    • Disciplining staff as needed and keeping appropriate records.
    • Scheduling bartenders, servers, cashiers, and kitchen staff and managing any staffing issues.
    • Overseeing bar and kitchen staff on a daily basis.
    • Coordinating ongoing beer education for staff.
    • Counting the cash drawer and making accurate bank deposits.
    • Placing accurate orders for tasting room (bar and kitchen) and airport satellite needs.
    • Ensuring all employees are complying with VI alcohol and workplace laws.
    • Ensuring all employees are complying with VI Health Department regulations.
    • Ensuring that proper sanitation and cleanliness are maintained in all areas of the tasting room and airport
    • Planning and managing weekly and special events.
    • Outreach to local businesses, hotels and resorts to build relationships and promote new business.
    • Assisting with marketing content and social media promotion as needed.
    • Keeping cost of goods within industry standards.
    • Completing other tasks as assigned by manager.
    • Minimum 1 day (full shift)/week worked at satellite airport location.

    • Must be immediately eligible to work in the United States.
    • Must have or immediately obtain a Virgin Islands Department of Health Food Handler Certificate.
    • Must have or obtain (within 60 days) the Cicerone Certified Beer Server qualification.
    • Must be able to stand walk for the duration of shift.
    • Must be able to lift/move 165-pound kegs short distances with the assistance of a hand truck or cart.
    • Must have a positive, problem-solving attitude.
    • Must have strong communication skills.
    • Must have excellent customer service skills
    • Must be self-motivated with a high degree of integrity and be able to perform job duties with minimal
    • Must maintain a neat, uniform and professional appearance.
