    This position manages the quality control and assurance team to effectively and efficiently execute the quality control and quality assurance program.
    Essential Responsibilities
    Interacts at local and regional professional events and conferences.
    Performs basic management duties (ordering, delegating, scheduling, etc.)
    Designs, proposes and executes trials to improve consistency and process.
    Collaborates with department leads to optimize processes.
    Interacts with other industry peers to discuss technique and learn other processes.
    Analyzes and troubleshoots water analyses conducted in-house and from the city.
    Analyzes raw material CoAs and work with brewhouse to make needed adjustments.
    Analyzes and correlates QC data from all departments.
    Researches old and new methods of yeast handling and propagation.
    Seeks out and logs potential sources of contamination throughout the brewery.
    Stays current on and trial new techniques and methods.
    Seeks out correlations between microbial growth and environmental conditions at time of sampling
    Analyzes sensory results and use to troubleshoot beer issues and validate and train panelists.
    Maintains up to date standard operating procedures, logs, and safety information.
    Ensures team is compliant with company polices and safety guidelines.
    Handles inventory control and ordering.
    Additional Responsibilities
    Prepares and approves crew schedules and timecards.
    Interviews and hires for the department.
    Leads training of new hires.
    Performs other related duties as required or assigned.

    Physical & Mental Requirements
    Must have the physical and mental strength and endurance to be able to perform duties, in at times extreme environments, as well as the ability to handle stressors of the position in operational and administrative situations. Required to frequently lift and move 10-75 pounds. Expected to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, talk, hear, taste, smell, see, and operate objects, tools, and controls.

    Driving Requirements: Less than 10%
