    Position Summary
    Armed with a hit list of key accounts, your role is to develop business and increase the availability and visibility of our brand in New York City while keeping an eye on the tri-state market sales. As an expert in craft beer you are tasked with educating both industry professionals and the public by being our brewery ambassador at sales calls, promotional events, tasting sessions, and local festivals.

    Responsibilities
    • Increase draft presence in Manhattan and Brooklyn, CT, PA & NJ
    • Increase packaged distribution in Tri-state area.
    • Develop sales contact strategies and a prioritized plan of attack.
    • Establish deep knowledge of key craft beer buyers and venues.
    • Maintain and deepen existing account relationships to build long-lasting partnerships and trust in the brand.
    • Plan and participate in team sell days with sales reps/team leaders with our wholesaler.
    • Work with our wholesalers to communicate and disseminate information regarding available beers and retail demands of each market.
    • Leverage experience in industry to generate accurate sales projections and goals.
    • Plan and execute promotional events with key retailers that may occur any day of the week.
    • Accurately report activities and account records in our database.
    • Manage Pre-sales for key accounts of our specialty and barrel-aged products.
    • Conduct monthly and quarterly wholesale wrap up meetings covering distribution gains and sales results.
    • Develop expert beer knowledge and understanding of our portfolio & culture and educate our wholesalers, retailers and fans.



    Requirements
    • At least 1 year of experience in New York City craft beer distribution or sales with existing relationships among the city’s craft beer retailers strongly preferred.
    • 3 to 5 years experience with outside sales.
    • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales goals.
    • Ability to MacGyver any problem that presents itself including, but not limited to, account draft lines, jockey boxes, and getting last minute kegs to key accounts.
    • Excellent time management skills - this position requires the ability to be proactive and take initiative.
    • Self motivation – this position requires a high level of independence with little supervision.
    • Superior communication skills- this position requires ongoing communication of relevant information to manager regarding accounts, products, opportunities, etc.
    • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed – this position has a lot of potential evening and weekend work.
    • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with retail accounts and distributors.
    • Physical Requirements: Periods of standing, moving and lifting kegs and cases of beer, required.



    Compensation
    Competitive compensation for this position is structured primarily in commission and experienced based base pay.
