Sociable Cider Werks is a small brewery in NE Minneapolis. We brew primarily with apples, but also have a small beer portfolio for sale only in our taproom. We self distribute our products to both on-premise and off-premise accounts in the MSP metro and Duluth. Our footprint is rapidly growing, which calls for a full-time driver/ on location sales person. We are a small brand and pride ourselves on excellent customer service and a "Sociable" attitude. While you will be schlepping hundreds of kegs and cases each week, we see this position as customer service first, keg jockeying second.
Job requirements include:
1. Knowledge of craft beer and or cider. If you don't know cider, we can teach you, but a passion for craft alcohol is a must.
2. Personable/ Sociable personality
2. Clean driving record
3. Class B CDL. You will be driving a 26' Freightliner box truck with a Merc power plant and Ally (automatic) transmission, lift gate and reefer unit. This beast of a delivery rig is affectionately dubbed the Millennium Falcon. She is so named not because she is fast, but because she is unreliable. Please see a picture below. If you do not have a CDL, we are willing to reimburse you for the cost of acquiring said license before your start date.
4. A good, strong back. Throwing kegs around all day is strenuous work.
5. Must be a self starter. Delivery days start early. You must be able to execute all aspects of a delivery route including occasionally generating invoices, loading appropriate inventory, solving potential draft technical problems at accounts, securing payment and logging checks for shipped invoices.
6. Availability for weekend beer festivals and tastings. Everyone in the company attends these events, it is a perk of the job.
7. Willingness to tackle other jobs. There will be days where we need help on the packaging line, or washing kegs, building picnic tables, assembling tap handles, etc. We are a small business so ad hoc items pop up often.
Pay starts at $10/ hour plus benefits. Delivery routes will occupy 4 days a week with a float day(s) depending on the weekend's event schedule.
