JOB DESCRIPTION
Yak and Yeti Brewpub group is looking for a marketing and public relations person who is passionate about marketing, branding, writing, and social media.
In this role, you will be responsible for the marketing and public relations of several businesses that are part of the Yak and Yeti enterprise, including a brewpub and several restaurants. You’ll be responsible for the growth of the brand through social media, advertising, creative marketing efforts, events and our internet presence. You may be eligible for promotion and additional compensation by proving this growth with your self-motivation and ambition. Be a part of the craft beer experience which is an exciting and growing industry in the Denver Metro market.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Professional communication in all avenues (advertising, web copy, social media, events, networking, etc.).
Maintain, update, and post content on Yak & Yeti social media, including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, etc
Actively review and respond to comments on review-sites like Yelp, Google and TripAdvisor, etc,
Develop relationships with other companies/non-profits that can be mutually beneficial
Assist with planning, organizing, and implementing advertising campaigns or in-house promotions
Manage and maintain our merchandise inventory (hats, shirts, glassware, stickers, etc)
Photograph and/or video events and activities that promote our brand on our website and social media
Develop creative marketing endeavors (free or great return on marketing investment)
Seek opportunities for writing press releases or submitting information to publications for free exposure
Develop and maintain regular updates to stakeholders
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree required
Intern or volunteer experience in a marketing, communications, corporate branding, or social media-focused role
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED SKILLS
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficiency with multiple computer programs related to writing, photography, internet presence, design, etc.
Event planning and retail merchandising experience
Photography or video experience
Proven history of initiative, creativity, and self-motivation
Superb networking and social skills
Strong organizational skills
Occasional flexible work schedule with events like food tastings, beer fests and city events.
A portfolio submission would also be desired (online portfolio access is acceptable and preferred).
