South Street Brewery, located in Charlottesville, Virginia is seeking a Sales Representative to join our dynamic team.
Overview of the Position
South Street Brewery is hiring a full time salesperson, with the position covering Northern Virginia. The ideal candidate will live in the area and will work directly with our Vice President of Sales and Wholesaler team. The salesperson will be responsible for increasing on and off premise placements within given territory, maintain a working relationship with Wholesaler and continuing brand education for their sales staff.
Requirements
• Bachelors Degree, or equivalent experience
• 1-2 years of craft beer sales or distribution preferred
• Certified Cicerone or similar training preferred but not required
• Ability to Lift 40 lbs. and move 160 lbs. safely
• Must have a clean driving record
• The ability to work nights and weekends is a must
• Passion for good beer and meeting new people
Key Responsibilities
• Work with our wholesaler continuously concentrating on:
o Increase draft presence in each market
o Increase package presence in each market
• Selling days with sales reps/team leaders with our wholesaler
• Develop expert beer knowledge and understanding of our portfolio.
• Coordinate and manage our marketing efforts alongside our Marketing Director and VP of Sales
• Communicate relevant information to manager regarding accounts, products, opportunities, etc
• Develop key customers in each territory and maintain retailer relationships to increase sales.
• Plan and execute promotional events with key retailers within territory.
• Manage Pre-sales for key accounts of our specialty products
• Completely understand and embrace South Streets brands, culture and continually educate our wholesalers, retailers, and fans.
• Plan routes to ensure all accounts are regularly seen.
