The Vice President (VP), Sales has the primary responsibility of delivering the right revenues be that defined as a hard number, growth target, and/or profit target. The VP, Sales is also responsible for helping to expand the distribution network, coordinating large events, and monitoring distributors performance.

Essential Functions Statement:
  • Create and execute forecast based on sales, production, and company vision.
  • Ensure Stonecloud team is informed on market trends.
  • Work with taproom manager to determine how much product can be sold in taproom and how much can be sold in distribution.
  • Provide insight into naming based on impact of market, determine pricing and maintain accurate wholesale price in Ekos.
  • Work with creative team on sell sheet by providing pricing and details needed for sell sheet; work with distributor to get final pricing for sell sheet.
  • Create and maintain UPC’s and price book.
  • Main point of contact for distributors; negotiates deals with distributors; coordinates pickups with distributors.
  • Provides sales forecast and goals holding distributors accountable for hitting those goals.
  • Monitor sales goals, add PO’s to Ekos, invoice product and communicate allocations to distributor.
  • Communicate and execute the release of new beers.
  • Implement and maintain suggested shelf life and monitor rotation.
  • Coordinate sales meetings ideally 2-3 per year.
  • Work with Marketing Manager to order marketing materials such as coasters and glassware and manage presales.
  • Work with head brewer and production team to provide and update packaging mix and work with team to establish and maintain productive system/workflow.
  • Responsible for the creation of sales positions to include interviewing, hiring, and setting goals and expectations.
  • Overall day to day management of sales team to include weekly plan, events, assisting in solving problems in the market, delegate focus tasks, and inform team or priorities and focus items.
  • Establish and monitor budgets and event guidelines.
  • Monitor vehicle maintenance, scheduled work hours, vacation and overtime of sales team.
  • Ensure all employees ABLE license is compliant.
  • Implement and execute programs such as quarterly glassware (pint night) program.
  • Spend 1-3 days a week in the market visiting key account holders, work on implementing new programs, meeting with corporate buyers, initiating new relationships, maintaining current relationships, and developing new growth opportunities.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours and work shift may change in accordance with business needs. Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available, as business needs require.

Travel requirements are: 75%

Required Education and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
Experience: 8+ years’ experience of outside sales experience
Computer Skills: Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Must be able to accomplish any and all duties with little to no assistance.
Must have valid drivers license and no major driving violations.
