- Distributor Management
- Main point of contact for all distribution partners
- Sales Rep oversight and communication
- Schedule consistent, targeted distributor work withs
- DM oversight and communication
- Work with distributor purchasing to ensure appropriate inventory
- Build relationships with key personnel (chain team, brand managers, DMs)
- Set annual growth goals
- Work with senior management/ownership to provide timely incentives
- Drive business with further flung distributors through regular contact, visits
- Identify new partners in territories currently not in distribution footprint
- NIF Coordination
- Pricing Coordination
- Chain Management
- Build and maintain relationships with grocery chain buyers
- Drive increase in shelf placements and ad/display support
- Key Accounts & On Premise Sales
- Build and maintain relationships with key volume and high visibility accounts
- Drive growth of business with local restaurant groups
- Regular visit to local on premise accounts
- Budget
- Work with President to establish and maintain sales budget
- Ensure targeted and appropriate market spends
- Look for cost savings/increased efficiencies
- Production Coordination
- Work with Brewery Team to ensure proper volumes brewed
- Work with Brewery Team to plan future styles
- Internal Pricing Coordination
- Brand Ambassador
- Build relationships within brewing community
- Attend industry events/conferences on a regular basis
- Take on role with WABL, WA Brewer’s Guild
- Oversee Pike sales team –Direction & Accountability
- Work with senior management/ownership to set goals
- Provide accountability for rep performance to goals
- Analyze available sales data/market trends to target sales opportunities
- Assist in performance management, hiring of department employees, as needed
Job Requirements
- 5+ years in sales of craft beverage, preferably beer
- 3+ years working in relation with Seattle area chain stores
- Strong knowledge of the Seattle craft beer market
- Strong written and verbal and written skills
- Strong skill base in Microsoft Office, Basecamp, Encompass
- Desire to travel statewide, with limited out of state travel, as needed
- Desire to work nights and weekends as needed
