    Workhorse Brewing Company

    Workhorse Brewing Company (“WBC”), with a 30 bbl brewhouse offering capacity to produce about 55,000 barrels annually, and a large taproom in King of Prussia, is seeking a Vice President of Sales to lead our business growth. This will be a key leadership position working directly with the co-founders and key board members to rapidly grow the business.

    To be successful, the candidate must have proven success in hiring and motivating a sales team, forecasting, product marketing, as well as be effective in wholesale sales and execution. The VP of Sales is responsible for creating sales goals and KPIs that ladder up to meet the overall business objectives and growth targets, and will also be counted on to envision the full product and service commercialization of the Workhorse business assets and attributes.

    Winning at this level will require the candidate to be aggressive and creative; we need a natural leader who embraces the challenge to attract, train, and retain “eagle” sales leaders. We need passion and vision and an outside-the-box thinker and someone willing to challenge the status quo. The candidate must also be responsible for the financial budget. Activities will range from boots-on-the-street customer engagements to selling events to heavy direct face-to-face interactions with accounts, chains, and sales reps, as well as key, high-level responsibilities to the entire business and board.

    • Recruit, train, coach & lead from the front
    • Develop annual and future sales goals and market expansion plans that support the brand, the business, and financial objectives
    • Build & maintain strong relationships with wholesale accounts & retail partners
    • Analyze internal sales reports & category insights to identify opportunities and make strategic business decisions
    • Work closely with accounts and internal team to ensure execution of new distribution and promotional activity
    • Be engaged as a key leader in the company’s strategic goals and support the company’s mission
    • Lead the team creating events and representing WBC at customer events, tap takeovers, dinners, tastings, and festivals
    • Manage the development, performance, and division of work required of the team
    • Lead the process to develop relationships for accounts that are not currently customers and develop a plan to establish business with the sales team.
    • Serve as lead point of contact for potential new accounts and all sales-related inquiries about WBC

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    • Proven and successful sales management track record within the beer and/or CPG space
    • Must be passionate with unlimited energy and a can-do, analytical thinker. Must also be data-driven.
    • Start-Up Experience a plus
    • Excellent communication skills
