    JOB TITLE:
    Key Account Rep – On Premise Midwest

    LOCATION:
    Must reside within the following areas; MI, WI, IN, IL, MN, IA, MO, NE, CO, KS and within 60 miles of a major/regional airport

    REPORTS TO:
    Lead National Key Accounts Manager

    FLSA POSITION TYPE:
    Full Time, Salaried Exempt – Outside Sales

    SUMMARY:
    Manages relationships and assists in the coordination of programs between brewery and on-premise key account (chain) customers directly. Communicates chain updates and initiatives to the Sales Operations Team and Distributor partners.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    •Adheres to and advances the “Safety Always” culture of Bell’s Brewery.

    •Adheres to and advances the ethical sales culture of Bell’s Brewery, Inc.
    •Develops and maintains a true strategic partnership with assigned key on-premise customers.
    •Maintains and updates account contact information regularly.
    •Manages area budget and market spending for self in an efficient and a responsible manner.
    •Researches and identifies potential new Key Account relationships in conjunction with On Premise KAM.
    •Conducts regular sales calls, meetings, and email updates with key account buyers/stakeholders. Calls, Meetings and Communications to consist of a business review, sharing of industry trends and information, and/or presenting programs and menu suggestions with focus on benefits to the chain and retail customer.
    •Assumes a leadership role in understanding, developing, and implementing key customer initiatives within the craft beer section and beer segment in general.
    •Manages and communicates shared goals and expectations between chain, Key Account Managers, Regional Business Manager, Area Sales Managers, and Distributor partners.
    •Communicates and coordinates (weekly) various approved customer programs and menu changes with the National Key Accounts Manager, On-Premise Key Accounts Manager, and impacted Regional Business Managers, Area Sales Managers, and Distributor partners. Communication to include: brands, packages, pricing, timing, volume, locations, support documents, and any other information that will lead to disciplined execution in the field.
    •Reviews data relevant to key accounts with Regional Business Manager, Key Accounts Manager, and Area Sales Managers to convert insights into actions for distributor presentations.
    •Presents at all Regional Team meetings to layout goals and programs. Discuss progress toward achieving goals and develop tactical plans to deliver volume.
    •Regularly visits and surveys accounts to ensure accurate pricing and programs (if applicable) are being executed.
    •Develops annual budget plans with Lead National Key Accounts Manager. Tracks spending on-going.
    •Assist in Annual Business Planning by providing requested annual customer overviews for Regional Business Manager and Area Sales Manager.
    •Ability and willingness to maintain flexible work schedules, as weekend and extended workdays are necessary
    •Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

    IMPORTANT SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
    •Demonstrated knowledge of chain environment and three tier system
    •Demonstrated ability to build relationships and maintain effective working relationships with top level account decision makers, distributors, and all internal stakeholders
    •Ability to analyze and translate insights data
    •Demonstrated coaching and team building skills
    •Demonstrated ability to think strategically
    •Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
    •Ability to work independently with little supervision – self motivated
    •Excellent oral, analytical, and written communication skills
    •Strong organizational & planning skills
    •Ability and willingness to maintain flexible work schedules, as weekend and extended workdays are necessary
    •Ability to identify tasks that need to be completed
    •Ability to troubleshoot and find creative solutions to problems


    THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:
    •Bachelor’s degree or military experience and five years of industry experience preferred
    •A minimum of three years’ experience in Key Account/Chain management
    •Understands the role of Key Accounts/Chains within Bell’s sales philosophy
    •High level of craft beer product knowledge
    •A high level of professionalism
    •Willingness to make difficult decisions when necessary


    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    •Performance duties of this job include regularly being required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk, hear, and smell.
    •Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 55 lbs.
    •Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and climb.
    •Must be able to participate in critical assessment of beers
    •Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
    •The ability to travel via car or airplane up to 50-75% of the time.

    The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
    •The work environment is usually a home office environment.
    •Regular visits to bars, restaurants, and other retailer’s of bell’s beer are required.
    •Travel is required.
