- Manage interactions with all target Key Accounts across multiple customer segments, throughout expanding Maplewood distribution channels
- Create and implement a strategic plan to gain additional points of distribution in alignment with company sales objectives
- Maintain a schedule to call on all required Off-Premise and On-Premise Key Accounts across the Maplewood distribution footprint (including, but not limited to: Supermarket Chains, Liquor Chains, C-Stores, Restaurant Chains, Entertainment Groups, and more)
- Develop and coordinate promotional updates and programming with all Key/Chain Account partners, Maplewood Sales & Marketing Teams, and Distributor network
- Observe all regional laws and regulations pertaining to the distribution, merchandising, and promotion of Maplewood beer and spirits
- Lead Spring/Fall reset cycles, including developing content for presentations, validating planograms, and making informed decisions with Distributor partners
- Support all routine product activations, including the submission of new item forms, essential product information, and other requirements for each Chain group
- Participate in Distributor annual business planning meetings, and conduct routine meetings with appropriate Distributor Account Managers
- Analyze and report on business performance and progress to Maplewood leadership and Distributor partners, utilizing VIP data and market survey insights
- Work closely with the Maplewood Sales Team to establish best practices on how to execute with each Key Account group
- Participate in Distributor sales meetings, crew drives, and ride-along sales days
- Provide hospitality at the brewery during key buyer visits and company events+
- Required: 5+ years in beverage sales with a Supplier or Distributor
- Required: 2+ years direct selling to Key/National/Chain Accounts
- Minimum 4 year degree in Business or equivalent experience
- Advanced knowledge and proficiency with VIP, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Suite
- Strong written and communication skills, with a relationship-building personality and high standards for customer service
- Organized, self-motivated, and has the ability to independently solve problems and manage time effectively
- Comprehensive knowledge of the craft beverage industry and emerging trends
- Must have a clean driving record, own a reliable car, and be willing to travel
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Ability to lift 35lbs and use dolly to transport/maneuver 170lbs Kegs
- Illinois Basset Certification must be completed before start date
- Optional: Server-Certified Cicerone or Certified Cicerone
