    LOCATION: Warehouse Facility in Champlain, NY or remotely within Eastern US

    COMPANY:
    GrainCorp Malt is one of the world’s largest producers of malt for use in the brewing, distilling and food industries, operating in the U.S. as Great Western Malting Co, and in Canada as Canada Malting Co.

    The Country Malt Group division began in 1995 as North Country Malt Supply based in Champlain, NY. In 2010 the company was acquired by GrainCorp and evolved into the Country Malt Group with 9 distribution facilities located throughout North America. Today we are the sole supplier to over 1,500 customers in the US and Canada.

    POSITION SCOPE:
    The Country Malt Group is currently looking for a Territory Sales Manager for the following territory:
    Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia & Washington DC.

    Our Territory Sales Managers are highly motivated professionals who provide a link between the company and our customers. This position reports directly to the Eastern Division Sales Manager.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Pay regular visits to our customers across the territory, cultivating new relationships and strengthening existing ones.
    • Drive sales by identifying customer needs and creating strategic business plans.
    • Create and maintain strong relationships with our customers.
    • Educate customers about our product portfolio.
    • Attend industry events and tradeshows to showcase the Country Malt Group’s brands in a positive, professional manner.
    • Communicate effectively and regularly with other team members as well as office, marketing and management staff.
    • Execute sales and marketing plans, and accurately forecast sales
    • Ensure necessary updates/reports are completed and submitted on time.

    SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
    • 5+ years of experience in direct sales is preferred
    • Experience in food, warehouse, and/or export industries is preferred
    • Experience utilizing Microsoft GP is a plus
    • Experience utilizing a CRM is a plus
    • Beer and Brewing background is preferred
    • Brewing and Distilling BSc a plus
    • Interest in the craft brewing and distilling industry is a must
    • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
    • The ability to efficiently manage time and tasks
    • Self-motivated and proactive
    • Adaptable
    • A valid driver’s license
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
    • Ability to travel 50% of the time

    EDUCATION:
    Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
