    Highlander Director of Sales
    Highlander Beer out of Missoula Montana is looking for a Director of Sales to lead our wholesale business. We are a production brewery, that opened in 2015, and currently distributes to the entire state of Montana, and will be moving into the Idaho market soon. We have seen strong growth over the past few years, and would like to find the right person to drive that momentum, as well as help us open a new market.
    This position has the following responsibilities and duties:
    Distributor Relations:
    • Develop and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual sales strategies specific to each territory
    • Work closely with our distributors to implement strategy, and assess performance
    • Develop strong relationships with our distributors and their sales staff
    • Provide consistent and clear communication for distributors around new products, pricing, orders, inventory, ect..
    • Oversee distributor inventory management
    • Develop and execute ABPs with each distributor
    Market Duties:
    • Continually assess and direct pricing for each SKU and market
    • Ensure our product is represented consistent with our branding throughout all accounts and markets
    • Execute audits to make sure beer is in-date and quality is maintained
    • Visit on-premise and off-premise accounts to maintain and grow relationships
    Company/ Team Responsibilities:
    • Manage sales reps for each market
    • Set monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals for reps, and assess performance on a regular basis
    • Accompany sales reps in market visits
    • Participate in monthly and quarterly manager meetings, and provide recommendations to team for wholesale strategy/ innovations/ solutions
    • Work closely with President and Head Brewer to develop overall wholesale strategy, wholesale goals, and wholesale forecasting
    Ideal candidates:
    • College degree
    • Minimum of 6 years working in the beer industry, with at least 2 years of management experience
    • Must understand beer wholesale business and the workings of the 3-tier system.
    • Must have experience working with chain accounts
    • Must have experience in inventory management, understanding market trends, and pricing
    • Must possess strong communication skills, and be proficient using Word, Excel, Powerpoint

    This position reports to the President of Highlander Beer. It is based out of Missoula, MT, but will require travel. It is a full-time salaried position, with health insurance, paid-time off, sick time, and beer perks. Pay is based on experience.
