    Trillium Brewing was founded in March of 2013 by JC and Esther Tetreault with the desire to create a New England Farmhouse-inspired experience through the lens of craft beer. Launched with three employees and the support of family, friends, and community, our little brewery located at 369 Congress Street in Boston’s then-sleepy Fort Point neighborhood has grown to a team of nearly 300. Every member of our organization has incredible drive and purpose, working passionately each day to elevate the quality of the Trillium experience. We are hiring a Director of Digital Strategy to help tell our story.

    Financial

    Drive achievement of company objectives in sales and service through the development and execution of the annual marketing business plan
    Accountable for meeting revenue targets for direct-to-consumer sales channels through our @Home experience
    Measure the impact of marketing efforts on top-line revenue
    Regularly evaluate the market and identify areas of opportunity and refinement
    Work closely with Finance and Operations teams on initiatives to drive traffic to our physical locations and digital platforms
    Build and execute a yearly Marketing budget to expand our reach, drive sales, and support our values in a sustainable manner
    Partner with the executive team to develop new product lines or improve existing brand extensions with data-driven proposals


    Leadership

    Inspire a passionate team culture while supporting consistent execution of our goals
    Lead, coach, and educate Marketing team to achieve their defined goals and results, consistently monitoring performance and creating development plans
    Partner with Human Resources to address employee relations issues; identify appropriate training and/or coaching opportunities and follow-up to ensure effective, legally compliant, and consistent resolutions are reached
    Provide actionable solutions towards positive outcomes when faced with challenges
    Ensure that Handbook policies, procedures, and standards are maintained and followed in a consistent and fair manner
    Drive a culture of continuous improvement and strive for operational excellence by collaborating with cross-functional teams


    Marketing Strategy

    Develop and implement an integrated strategic communications plan to advance our brand identity. Broaden awareness of our products and programs, identify and reach new target audiences, and increase Trillium’s social media presence and the visibility of our products across key audiences
    Grow, engage, and maintain a community of our brand’s supporters across all social platforms, and lead the creation of digital assets that accurately reflect our existing brands values.
    Lead the company’s media efforts defining clear KPIs across the marketing funnel that enable the team to clearly gauge strategy effectiveness.
    Accountable for the generation of consistent and high quality visual and storytelling content by our creative team, in collaboration with external partners, that showcases the quality of our products and experiences in alignment with our brand guidelines
    Ensure that the aesthetic and feel of all branded content are consistent across all platforms and align with our strategy
    Lead the Marketing team by identifying and planning differentiated marketing strategies, assign accountabilities, set objectives, and manage scheduling to ensure that goals are met
    Identify challenges and emerging issues faced by the organization and industry as a whole. Work with leadership and Marketing teams to recognize communications opportunities and solutions, and execute appropriate strategies to support them
    Define a media and PR strategy that develops new, and maintains existing, relationships to authentically increase our exposure,amplify our brand, and tell our brand’s story
    Collaborate with internal and external partners to design in-person and virtual activations


    Desired Qualifications and Abilities



    Experience

    Minimum of five years of experience in a senior leadership marketing, sales, or communication role with a strong background in digital and social media marketing
    Retail or CPG experience required
    Craft alcoholic beverage, or food and beverage experience preferred
    Demonstrated success partnering with leadership team to guide strategic decision making as it pertains to all areas of the company
    Experienced accountability for the management and success of multiple departments including web development, asset creation, and communications
    Proven track-record of developing and leading digital marketing strategies, executing, measuring, and delivering on performance targets and a love for optimizing results
    Extensive knowledge of Google Adwords, Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, Instagram, programmatic media, SEO, etc.
    Data and analytical mindset - ability to quickly develop, measure and optimize marketing programs against quantitative frameworks.


    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    Exceptional organizational skills, detail-oriented with process-oriented thinking
    Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Adobe Creative Suite, and Google Analytics required
    Knowledge of Shopify, Meltwater, MailChimp, Drupal, Sprout Social/Hootsuite a plus
    Experience with MRP systems; SAP, Yellow Dog, Toast, and Orchestrated Beer a plus
    A self-motivated approach, with strong work ethic, requiring limited oversight
    Impeccable leadership and communication skills to a variety of audiences
