- Develop and maintain relationships with both current and prospective accounts. Communicate regularly and professionally using in-person, text, phone and/or email to obtain orders.
- Proactively monitor beer release schedule to determine and provide communication to accounts about new beer releases.
- Work closely with Sales Manager and distribution team to coordinate orders & account deliveries.
- Regularly perform deliveries to accounts as part of daily sales routes.
- Plan, communicate and attend events; tap takeovers, beer dinners, pairings, etc.
- Maintain detailed notes on account status, samples provided, contact information & licensing info. Report weekly on status of territory.
- Ensure product quality at accounts (i.e., draft line maintenance, refrigerated storage, beer in code, etc.)
- Use Quickbooks Online to create invoices, track & input payments from customers.
- Conduct ongoing brand training with retailers and consumers.
- Assist with organizing cold box, warehouse and other work areas as needed.
- Provide an excellent, professional image of the company to all prospects, accounts, and consumers.
- Passion for craft beer and basic understanding of beer styles, brewing & fermentation processes and off-flavors.
- 1+ year demonstrated sales experience in beer, wine or spirits. Hospitality experience a plus.
- Strong, professional & friendly written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to use initiative and work independently while also being a team player.
- Possess strong logistical and planning skills.
- Basic math skills and ability to keep accurate records.
- Proficient in Google Suite, Mac OS & Quickbooks.
- Must have access to reliable transportation. Class C license with a clean driving record and safe driving skills.
- Occasional travel required to trade shows and beer related events.
- A flexible schedule Monday-Friday to accommodate ideal hours for account visits; availability to work occasional Saturdays and Sundays for special events.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and sit for extended periods of time; walk; kneel/crouch; smell; taste; lift 55+ pounds repeatedly; maneuver 160+ pounds.
