Located in the northern suburbs of Nashville, Half Batch Brewing has been brewing fantastic ales and lagers for five years. Nashville and the surrounding area are growing, and Half Batch is too. We’ll be moving into a brand-new building in early 2023 that will give us space to triple our current brewing capacity. Compensation: 40k-60k, DOE
The Sales Manager position is directly responsible for all off-premise accounts, leading and managing the on-premise sales team, planning and executing marketing strategies, and coordination with distribution to plan orders and deliveries. The Sales Manager will be responsible for planning and leading weekly meetings with the on-premise sales team and will meet weekly with management. This position will work with management on scheduling, forecasting, and promotion of seasonal and specialty brews in the on- and off-premise channels.
Responsibilities:
- Sales Team Leadership - Manage and oversee on-premise sales team. Includes setting sales targets, management of current and new account assignments, performance management, and sales and promotion execution.
- Off-Premise Accounts – This position will be the primary point of contact for all off-premise accounts, and will be responsible for sales and promotion at those accounts. The Sales Manager will communicate with off-premise buyers to ensure consistently successful execution of promotional plans and to grow sales.
- Distribution Coordination – Responsible for communication of current and future sales plans to on-premise sales team and for working with distribution to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
- Events and Sales Promotions – The Sales Manager is responsible for coordinating and planning promotional events at on- an off-premise accounts, communicating those events to management, and ensuring the proper staffing and execution of promotional events. This position will be responsible for working promotional events, festivals, etc. to represent the Half Batch brand.
- Communication – Consistent communication with management and sales team. Responsible for leading weekly sales team meetings. Responsible for participation in weekly meetings with management.
- 5 years experience as a distributor or brewery sales representative
- In-depth knowledge of the craft beer market and account management strategy
- Ability to multi-task and work independently to complete assigned projects on deadline
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge of beer distribution and Tennessee beer regulations
- Knowledge of accounting fundamentals and experience forecasting sales and meeting budgets
- Leadership skills and experience managing a small team to higher levels of performance
- Basic computer skills with proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Must be located in, or willing to relocate to, the Nashville area
- Availability for evening and weekend promotions, festivals, and events
- Minimum 21 years of age with a valid drivers license and clean driving record
