    About Us

    Steel Bender Brewyard is a local family-owned brewery and taproom located in Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, New Mexico. Our doors opened in 2017, we began self-distributing throughout the state in 2018 and partnered with a distributor in 2019,quickly becoming one of New Mexico’s fastest growing breweries. Steel Bender operates with a strong spirit of inclusion and employee collaboration, and we are looking for individuals who share our enthusiasm and love for craft beer.

    Position Summary

    The Sales and Distribution Manager will oversee the creation and implementation of sales strategies and growth of beer sales for Steel Bender Brewyard. They will manage the sales team, and will have significant interaction with Steel Bender’s distribution partner. The ideal individual will possess strong initiative and enthusiasm about the product and brand they represent, along with great listening skills and intuition around customer needs and how to help build their success.

    • Build new relationships and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts to ensure their needs are met
    • Investigate and analyze market trends to identify new sales opportunities for Steel Bender and the sales team
    • Oversee development plans and goals for all Steel Bender sales team members through direct supervision including performance reviews and skill development
    • Create and distribute Sales Forecast with Production Team to ensure sales strategy is manageable
    • Develop an Annual Business Plan including marketing strategies for each product line, innovative and new product ideas based on trends in the market, customer demographic analysis, sales forecasts, and growth strategies
    • Build strong relationships with top management at our Distribution partner to ensure selling Steel Bender products remains a priority with the distributorship
    • Attend and present at the distributor's sales meetings to introduce new products and sales opportunities,and to set goals & objectives for our distributor’s sales team
    • Meet quarterly with Steel Bender’s distribution brand manager and set goals and expectations for next quarter
    • Work with the marketing and sales teams to evaluate and help coordinate events/festivals/offsite promotions that will promote the Steel Bender brand.
    • Work with Brewery Operations Manager to review and adjust the production schedule as needed to meet weekly sales goals

    • Strong interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills
    • Impeccable communication and listening skills with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues, management and distribution partner
    • Must possess a competitive spirit, with the ability to recognize opportunities and urgency

    • Be a company and community-wide brand and craft beer ambassador
    • Minimum two years previous sales experience
    • Proficient with spreadsheets and ability to learn and comprehend brewery software (i.e. EKOS, VIP)
    • Regular travel required to retail accounts. Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record and reliable transportation with vehicle insurance in good standing
