  • The Alementary - Sales Director - Northern NJ / Southern NY

    The Alementary is a new 1000bbl/year brewery in Hackensack, NJ, and we are seeking a Sales Director to join our small, fast-moving team. In our company, the Sales Director has primary responsibility for all sales activities, both wholesale and retail, and is accountable for maintaining a world-class quality experience delivered to the Beer Drinker. This position is focused on sales, but it is also integral to brewery operations--the Sales Director must constantly educate other brewery staff on the state of current products in the market, the "word on the street" and emerging trends. In our company, manufacturing is driven by sales. A successful candidate will have high entrepreneurial and relationship-building skills, along with comprehensive knowledge and passion for selling beer.
    • Identify, obtain, and maintain taps at Key Accounts in the target region.
    • Create and maintain sales materials, including sell sheets and rate cards, for all beers (wholesale and retail, including brewery exclusives).
    • Maintain relationships with Key Account personnel and peers in the industry to ensure a delightful experience with The Alementary for the beer drinker.
    • Identify, create, and maintain partnerships with distributions partners for accounts outside the immediate target region.
    • Collaborate with other brewery staff to communicate feedback and information about product performance in the market.
    • Run the sales and marketing practices, including social media and printed materials
    • Coordinate and participate in the delivery of products to Key Accounts
    • Work wth all accounts and partners to ensure proper service of our products
    • Identify, arrange, and share responsibility for participation in Tap Takeovers, events and festivals, with a focus on quality and return on investment.


    Candidates should have 1-3 years of experience in brewery sales, be able to lift 50lbs and, be amenable to flexible hours. The Alementary offers a competitive wage/salary, a bonus structure, expense reimbursement, and opportunity for Cicerone certification.
