  • Sales Representative- Asbury Park, NJ - Dark City Brewing Company

    Dark City Brewing Company is an eccentric new craft brewery, the first of it's kind in Asbury Park, NJ. We are in our first year and growing rapidly, our one year anniversary is in January. We have a 7bbl brew house and ¬60bbls of cellar capacity. We brew American and Belgian style ales, kettle sours, we've got a barrel program under way, there is lots of fun stuff being made for someone to sell. Our tasting room is located just seven short blocks from the booming Asbury Park boardwalk and about eight blocks from the popular downtown area. We are distributing all over New Jersey currently but are looking to gain more accounts and grow. All of the above being said, we are currently looking for a driven and experienced Sales Representative to expand the reach of the DCBC brand.

    The sales representative will be responsible for establishing new accounts while simultaneously maintaining and supporting current retail and wholesale customers. He/she will work with the management and delivery team on getting and maintaining product lines in bars/restaurants, liquor/grocery stores stores and at sports/entertainment venues.
    • Participate in monthly meetings with entire staff and the to establish sales goals, trends, and upcoming products. Help develop sales and marketing strategies within the company.
    • Build and maintain relationships with accounts. Help the management staff to identify opportunities for growth.
    • Merchandise accounts, improve visibility and point of service displays and increase product lines at accounts.
    • Coordinate with the management staff and accounts on beer events (tap takeovers, food pairings, etc.), and ensure order placement, inventory control, product delivery and growth in established accounts.
    • Assist in special events and beer festivals.

    • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Passion for craft beer and introducing DCBC product to people.
    • Excellent people skills.
    • A competitive spirit, result driven, mature, and excellent problem solving skills.
    • The ability to multitask, excellent time management, and the ability to prioritize responsibilities.
    • Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.
    • Ability to travel and work outside normal business hours. Ability to work a flexible schedule including some nights and weekends.
    • Proficient computer skills and the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite programs.
    • 2-4 years of previous sales and account management experience in the beer/liquor industry. Or other industry.
    • Advanced knowledge of the craft beer market.
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
    • Meet administration requirements (monthly calendar, e-mail responses, weekly/ monthly reports) in a timely fashion.
    • Ability to lift and move cases and kegs.
    • Conduct beer tastings, evening promotions and educate wait staff/bartenders and the public on Dark City beers.
