  • Alabama Craft Beer Sales Rep

    Props Craft Brewery is located in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. We are searching for a full-time sales representative and brand developer to cover our territory in Alabama. This territory currently includes Montgomery, Dothan, Troy, and Mobile. New territories to be opened soon. This position requires extensive travel daily, and may require overnight stays away from home. A company vehicle will be provided, as well as travel expenses. This position is required to attend a bi-weekly production meeting in Fort Walton Beach, Fl. This position also requires the applicant to have their own laptop computer and be willing to use it for work. Computer programs that must be used: Dropbox, MSWord, MSExcel, MSPowerpoint, and Gmail.

    Position Responsibilities:
    • Account acquisition and maintenance, and inventory control.
    • Develop close relationships with accounts and determine appropriate brands for the individual accounts.
    • Increase tap market share, and off premise account management.
    • Trouble shoot any issues with accounts.
    • Monitor and report progress or regression in all accounts.
    • Meet or exceed sales benchmarks.
    • Work closely with our distributors sales team to promote brand awareness and increase sales.
    • Educate servers/bartenders on and off premise about our products and how to best promote our brands.
    • Understand the alcohol laws that affect our product and the marketing of our brand.
    • Monitor quality control at off premise establishments that could affect our product.
    • Organize and plan special events as needed.
    • Responsibilities are not limited to the above, and additional duties as required

    • Strong knowledge base of craft beer styles and the ability to educate the casual beer drinker.
    • Be well informed about craft beer history, and understand where the industry is going.
    • The candidate must be self-motivated, work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
    • The candidate must have a strong selling skill set, and ability to develop positive relationships with our wholesale and retail accounts.
    • The candidate must be able to keep concise and organized records and reports.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • The candidate must be able to speak in front of crowds.
    • Possession of a vehicle, clean driving record within the last 18 months, a valid driver's license, must qualify for our company auto insurance, must have a working computer and willing to use it for work.

    Certified Beer Server certification within 60 days of hire.
    Experience: The ideal candidate will have held a position in the beer industry for a year.

    Physical Requirements:
    The position requires one to frequently reach with arm and hands, stoop, kneel, and crouch. There will be considerable amount of walking, and will be subject to slippery and wet floors. The candidate will be expected to move objects frequently weighing 55lbs.
