JOB TITLE: Sales Analyst
LOCATION: Administration building, Comstock, MI
REPORTS TO: Director of Business Insights
FLSA POSITION TYPE: Full-time, Salaried Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY: The primary responsibilities of this position include providing advanced analytics, shopper and consumer insights, and category recommendations to internal and external customers. Candidates should have the ability to identify insights and opportunities, report findings and make recommendations; develop effective and accurate reporting tools.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following.
•Adheres to and advances the “Safety Always” culture of Bell’s Brewery, Inc.
•Promotes an atmosphere of cooperation and teamwork within the department and the company.
•Collaborates with the Director of Business Insights to develop and implement Integrated Customer Business Plans.
•Provides insights and recommendations to optimize new product introductions, distribution, shelving, price and promotional mix by analyzing marketing and customer data.
•Analyzes and assesses category/brand performance to develop enhanced marketing and sales plans and promotions. Conducts market specific assessments of competitors, vendors, and customers to support decisions.
•Promotional analysis on volume building priorities and customization of new item presentations.
•Performs studies for Forecasting Team, pre/post-promotional analysis, and product selections or discontinuations.
•Setups and maintains item and vendor data integrity (pricing/item accuracy/item changes/item assortment/category marketing info/lost margin resolution).
•Integrates data from multiple resources (Nielsen, IRI, Etc.) to develop actionable insights and recommendations.
•Collaborates with IT to ensure data requirements and increases knowledge-base of how data flows, where it is stored, and how to access it in our enterprise system.
•Designs, manages, and runs customized regular and ad hoc reports to include but not limited to; out of stock, opportunity gap, SKU rationalization, plan-o-gram analysis, promotion analysis, item tracking, pricing studies, financial performance, sales and movement for managers, directors, and executives.
•Creates fact based selling stories for presentations to buyers; deliver and participate in customer appointments and presentations.
•Conducts field analysis to make recommendations for improvement.
•Develops and implements monthly retail category scorecards (new item tracking, pricing, distribution, and post-promotion analyses).
•Shares best practices, insights, learnings within Business Insights Team.

•Excellent oral, analytical, written, and group presentation communication skills and comfortable addressing diverse groups.

•A well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player.
•Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
•Ability to analyze, extract, and translate insights data to spot opportunities
•Demonstrated ability to think strategically
•Strong organizational & planning skills
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business or related field.
•2-5 years as a Category Analyst within CPG
•Understanding of Nielsen/IRI syndicated and Consumer Panel data
•Industry experience preferred.
•Knowledge of planogramming process a plus
•Experience with Data Visualization Software and Presentations.
•Ability to identify and pull needed data using SQL queries.
•Moderate level of craft beer product knowledge is a plus.
