    The Black Abbey Brewing Company in Nashville, TN is looking for an experienced Sales Rep to join our team and head up our East Tennessee operations. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, motivated, and hard-working. We are a small team and this is an opportunity to make an impact on the growth of our business.

    The Black Abbey was founded in 2013 and has been growing steadily ever since. We have been named one of the top 3 breweries in Nashville every year we have been open by The Nashville Scene. Current production is on pace for 4800bbls this year. The Black Abbey is distributed through out the state and East Tennessee is our largest market outside our home market.

    Full-time, salaried, exempt

    Position Summary:

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Work closely with distributing partners to ensure quality standards are understood and enforced. Regularly preform ride alongs. Assist in communicating brewery objectives, policies and/or product information
    • Regularly plan, schedule and staff brewery promotions (pint night/store tastings), beer festivals, and release events
    • Conduct beer and brand training with retailors, distributors partners and customers.
    • Develop target lists, maintain current accounts, generate new business and forecast growth, to reach sales goals
    • Assist with merchandize off-premise accounts
    • Visit and document 8-15 retail accounts each day
    • Maintains professional and respectable demeanor
    • Performs administrative tasks: expense reports, work calendar, etc
    • Social media posts that promote the brand and the retail establishment
    • Use VIP to identify and communicate business insights like opportunities for new distribution, lost sales or increase volume.
    • Performs quarterly ABP meetings with distribution partners and gets buy-in from all parties.

    Required Qualifications:
    • Perform each essential duty satisfactorily
    • Reliable car, clean driving record, and valid driver’s license
    • Ability to work independently - Self-starter/high motivation
    • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Strong knowledge of craft beer
    • Excellent oral, analytical, and written, communication skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel
    • Ability to work flexible schedule including but not limited to work nights and week-ends.
    • Travel required
    • Valid TN ABC certification

    Education and/or experience required:

    • B2B/outside sales experience
    • Alcoholic beverage sales experience preferred

    Physical requirements:

    • Ability to lift 50lbs
