    POSITION: Sales and Marketing Analyst
    LOCATION: Cincinnati, OH (not eligible for remote work)

    POSITION SUMMARY: The Sales and Marketing Analyst will provide advanced analytics, execute research and analyze results, monitor data streams, present retailer, distributor, shopper, and consumer insights, and provide category recommendations to internal and external customers. They will be an avid MadTree ambassador who lives the behaviors – Connect, Grow, and Give a fuck. Additionally, the Sales and Marketing Analyst will:
    • Provide unbiased data, best practices, insights, and learnings to key stakeholders.
    • Self-analyze data and information, drawing down conclusions, and develop mastery of information and facts as a subject matter expert.
    • Be comfortable with prioritizing and executing multiple data-intensive projects simultaneously.



    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Collaborates with the Sales and Marketing Directors to develop and implement chain and distributor business plans.
    • Manages the execution of key stakeholder surveys, measuring and analyzing net promoter scores, brand equity health & consumer segmentation modeling.
    • Assist the Sales Director with goal tracking for the sales team and Distributor partners.
    • Provides insights and recommendations to optimize new product introductions, distribution, shelving, price and promotional mix by analyzing marketing and customer data.
    • Analyzes and assesses category/brand performance to develop enhanced marketing and sales plans and promotions. Conducts market specific assessments of competitors, vendors, and customers to support decisions.
    • Promotional analysis on volume-building priorities and customization of new item presentations.
    • Performs studies for the Marketing and Sales teams on pre/post-promotional analysis, product selections or discontinuations, and consumer research.
    • Setups and maintains item and vendor data integrity (pricing/item accuracy/item changes/item assortment/category marketing info/lost margin resolution).
    • Integrates data from multiple resources (IRI, VIP, Encompass, Etc.) to develop actionable insights and recommendations.
    • Designs, manages, and runs customized regular and ad hoc reports to include but not limited to; out of stock, opportunity gap, SKU rationalization, plan-o-gram analysis, promotion analysis, item tracking, pricing studies, financial performance, sales and movement for managers, directors, and executives.
    • Creates fact-based selling stories for presentations to buyers; deliver and participate in customer appointments and presentations.
    • Conducts field analysis to make recommendations for improvement.
    • Other duties as assigned.


    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
    • Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, statistics, business, marketing, or a related field.
    • 1-2 years professional experience in beverage/CPG analysis preferred.


    KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES:
    • Understanding of Nielsen/IRI syndicated and Consumer Panel data.
    • Experience with industry-specific software such as VIP, Encompass, and/or Lilypad preferred.
    • Industry experience and knowledge of planogramming process preferred.
    • Experience with Tableau or other data visualization software and presentations.
    • Self-motivation and ability to work with limited amount of direction; ability to work both independently and within a team to accomplish goals.
    • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong work ethic; demonstrated ability to plan and manage multiple responsibilities.
    • Advanced working knowledge in Google Suite and Microsoft Office applications.
    • Working knowledge of the craft brewing industry.


    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
    • Ability to frequently sit, stand, and walk.
    • Ability to frequently talk, hear, and smell.
    • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
    • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance.
    • Ability to travel via car or airplane on an as-needed basis.
