    The Commonwealth Brewing Company Sales Manager is responsible for sales
    through the development of new accounts, building strong relationships with current accounts, and
    promoting and fostering brand excitement and loyalty. Sales territory will be Northern VA and DC with less frequent support in NC and MD. A sales person with primary residence in Northern VA is desired.

    Everyday Duties and Responsibilities:
    ● Increases market share of Commonwealth Brewing Company beer sales.
    ● Aggressively pursues new brand appropriate accounts while building relationships with existing account base.
    ● Maintains expert beer knowledge and understanding of Commonwealth Brewing Company portfolio of beers.
    ● Manages individual time and activities to maximize sales volume within defined sales territory.
    ● Maintains expense planning to achieve maximum return on investment.
    ● Conducts targeted tasting and account staff education sessions with key accounts.
    ● Collaborates with Commonwealth Operations Manager to identify highly effective sales tactics and new sales and marketing offers and tools that will enable the company to reach its sales goals.
    ● Coordinates with retailers and executes promotional events, including but not limited to beer festivals, promotional nights, tap takeovers, can drops and tasting events.
    ● Thorough understanding of VA and DC ABC beer promotional rules & regs; laws as they apply to promotional events and marketing.
    ● Communicates weekly activity reports to the Operations Manager.
    ● Completes necessary administrative reporting and communications on a weekly basis.
    ● Maintains all sales goals and personal budgets outlined to you and your territory.
    ● Other tasks as needed.

    Account Management:
    ● Build, update and maintain a detailed retailer contact list across all territories
    ● Coordinate high profile for high volume key accounts.
    ● Calls on local buyers, decision makers, and key account managers on a consistent basis.
    ● Builds strong relationships with customers and networks within the field.
    ● Coordinates and works special events and promotions in key retail locations throughout the distribution territories throughout the year.

    Travel Requirements
    ● Up to 75% travel time may be required (depending on your location).

    Schedule, Education, Experience, & Physical Requirements:
    ● Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application.
    ● High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
    ● At minimum, two years’ sales experience with proven results required. Alcohol beverage sales highly preferred.
    ● Microsoft Office proficiency required
    ● Must be able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment background and driving record check.
    ● Must have a valid Driver License with a good driving record, a reliable, registered and insured vehicle, and ability to drive to and from accounts.
    ● Requires prolonged sitting and driving.
    ● Must be able to lift and transport up to 160-lb kegs with the assistance of a hand truck.
    ● Evening, weekend, and holiday availability required.

    Ideal Candidate will Possess:
    ● Extensive knowledge of and a passion for craft beer required.
    ● Experience working with CRM programs such as VIP and inventory management systems such as Ekos Brewmaster.
    ● Excellent persuasive sales and ability to balance sales drive with authentic relationship building.
    ● Strong oral communication skills: ability to talk to others to convey information effectively; strong written communication skills.
    ● Very strong organizational and communications skills, unwavering reliability, and consistent follow-up required.
    ● Able to stay focused and remain extremely productive while working in the field without direct supervision.
    ● Strong interpersonal skills and a love for meeting and interacting with people.
    ● Thorough attention to detail and desire to take initiative.
